Look at this lightning "leader" that was between my digital video camera and porch railing last night. each pic is one frame, so each photo is 1/30th of a second.

Crazy stuff, right when this happened the thunder sounded just like a shotgun goin off three times very fast.

My camera was sitting outside. But my screen door was open, loud as hell. Louder than SLAYER live in Rochester!

That happened the other day where I'm at and it was this tornado warning but it passed me and instead we got lightening going every 2 or 3 seconds all over the place. That lightening was pretty loud though damn!

I got an email from a local meteorologist at WIVB stating that this was an amazing photo(s) and a once in a lifetime capture of a close leader.

is there glass right there it's reflecting off of or is it really right there on your porch? it looks 2 feet away. between the camera and the railing.

The camera was sitting outside with nothing between the lens and the weather, the camera was sitting on a ledge.
