Here's how we run things these days: Power for ALL lights get fed to a sub panel via a contact relay switch w/ 120v trigger. The 120v trigger cord gets plugged into timer, than plug timer into high temp shutdown switch,which is than plugged into a regular outlet(hence the 120v trigger). As far as the alarm, I don't know, but the CAP brand ones we used to use would blink it's light, if there was a shutdown. They have a delay before they allow power through, after the temps have dropped below the set point. But stay the hell away from CAP brand! There quality of products went out the window a few years back. The high temp shutdown switch is a must, especially in case of Ac failure in a sealed growroom.
Throw away all them hard wired timers you were using for your lights. Because now you only need one simple digital one, as your timer is barely handiling any power, just the contactor.
Contactors are the bomb!
