lumens

Im doin my first grow and i have 2 females with 5 cfl bulbs (1600 lumens each) totaling 8000 lumens. my question is should this be pretty good set up for a quality yield?

Lumens don't add. You just have 5 points of light emitting 1600 lumens. Lumens are a measure of brightness, therefore you do not increase the total brightness, i.e. lumens by introducing more points of light, i.e. more light.

That being said, we need to know the dimensions of your grow area in order to tell you whether you have an appropriate amount of light for growing cannabis.
