Would a light timer start moving slow when going bad? I keep having to move the timer and it still won’t shut off when it’s supposed to. Going back a few hours

I've never had an issue with a digital timer aside from setting them up wrong and running my plants for a day or two before realizing. They all seem to be overly complicated. But once you have them setup you don't need to change them unless you're switching up your dark period hours or something.
