Making A Mother Room

I'm in the process of setting up a mother room.
My questions are.
1. If the mother is in dirt can the clones go in hydro?
And 2. What is the best and cheapest light.

yes clones can go into hydro....

i would try some t-5s for vegging...

t 12's are the cheapest. i use a 250w halide on 12 and 1 t12 on the other 12. the 250 is 6 in from my veging clones and my mothers are right next to it with a t12 up top. 24 hour light mothers grow the cuttings on lower branches(more intense light) and every thing stays in veg cause the flouro stays on for the other 12. 2x4x3 space, cool tube, 6in duct fan (on 12 hours not inline) 250w ballast and bulb, and t12 shop light, 2timers and an oscillating fan. t12s are mad cheap and work good for veg.
