Male Plant?

I'll link pictures tomorrow, in less than 12 hours. I'm worried about the male now though.

I planted 5 seedlings of "feminized" brainstorm about 2 weeks ago. 2 died about 2-4 days in. 1 is going quite strong, 1 is growing decently, the other is questionable. I then planted 2 random seeds I was given about 1 week later. Now, 1 is growing VERY LARGE compared to the others (it has probably 15 leaves and is at least 3 times as large) while the decent one has about 6-8 and the questionable one has about 4. The other 2 random ones I planted a week later are just a big smaller than the decently growing ones.
I'm worried the super large one is a male. Isn't fast growing a sign on males? Or are my other two struggling? The one that is question has yellow tips on the few leaves it has.

Details:
1000W HPS light
20+ inch clearance between light and tops leaves.
Fully mylared room (should I have more clearance because of this?)

So I've figured out there is no good way to tell till your done with Veg state. So along with my first few questions, is there any chance of the possible male changing the other plants to male? I have a negative ion in there, will that help/hurt?

it could be a male, but i doubt it. when u grow from seed u get different phenotypes, some are stronger than others.
as for the yellow tips, its probably nuteburn. lay off the fertalizer, and flush the plant.

i really believe the genetics are in the seed. by having a male plant around other plants doesn't make it go gay. lol You can veg as long or as little as you want. you can go 12/12 from birth of the seedling if you want. I veged 2 plants for a month went 24 hour darkness and got sings of 2 fems. Just bagseeds but I'm still happy.

They are under 24 hour lights right now. I plan on keeping them under 24 hour lights till they are between 8-12 inchs high, then slowly switching down to 12/12 lights.

They were fairly expensive seeds, first ones I've bought before. Always used "bagseed" or nicer seeds I got from zips of good shit.

I haven't used fertalizer at all? I read that most soil bought has enough fertalizer in it for a few weeks so I've just been watering them.

My grow room. I hope it doesn't get to cool when I turn the lights off.
All five plants. Obvious difference in size. The closest one and the one to its right where planted about a week after the first three. I'm not sure what they are. Though they appear to be doing fine. (they are the two random ones mention previously) The large one is just the left of the closest one, the weak one is behind it, and the decent brainstorm is in the far back right.

This is the one that is doing quite well. I hope it keeps doing so well and doesn't turn out male :-/

This is the struggling one. Yellow tips, barely growing. Haven't used any fertalizer.

This is the last brainstorm. Growing pretty decently.

These last two are random ones I got with the brainstorm. Not sure what they are or if they are "feminized". Seem to be growing nicely, though one has slightly yellow tips.

How long does it take for pictures to go up? I posted a few pics linked from imageshack.us about 15+ min ago and it said a moderator had to approve them first.

Cervantes says to wait to induce flowering until pre-flowers have appeared. Inducing flowering before pre-flowers set will stress the plant.
if it does, its not noticeable. 99% of indoor growers dont have the space to grow plants 4-7 weeks before flowering them.

So I'm still having trouble with yellowing tips. Now, not only is the tiny one still struggling and slightly yellow, the largest one has yellow tips on the bottom leaves, the other brainstorm has yellow tips on two of the larger leaves, and yellow tips are appearing on one of the two random ones. I have not been fertilizing ANY of the plants. Just water.

Could I possibly not be watering enough? I would say they are getting between 1/2 and 1 cup of water every 12 hours. I've been going by the "stick your finger in the soil, if it still feels moist don't water rule."
