Every youtube video I see of people showing off their buds they are always grabbing handfuls of bud and lifting them to the camera. Then they just pick them up and drop them on the pile a few times, and they always love to squeeze them and touch them as much as possible. I think the biggest perpetrators of this act are the guys from Greenhouse and Jorge Cervates. They show the buds no respect. It's like a pimp smacking around his hoe.
For me this has always made me cringe. Nothing upsets me more than going to my guy to get an ounce just to see him start tossing the buds around. They end up with no crystals on the outside and a couple of good hits are wasted on their fingers.
Some people say when the plant is still alive you should squeeze the buds. That this is suppose to raise resin production. Is this actually true? It would seem to me if you are squeezing them you are pulling off the already formed crystals and others are being squished and popped. Is there any actual benefit to doing this? Does it bruise the flowers and make them grow bigger and stronger?
Then back to messing with them when they are curing. Would squeezing your drying buds cause bruises on the flowers which would allow more air in helping along the curing phase, or are these people just ruining their weed?
