measurement advise needed.

I have a closet which has a width of 1.5 foot , depth 3 foot nearly and its just over 6 foot tall, i am thinking of seperating it into two rooms one for veg and one for flower, but i was wondering would i get more from an autoflowering grow and if so how many autos would i fit into this space, im not sure how close you can put autos together without stunting.
Thankss.

i don't know anything about autos but if you are going to separate that small of a space into 2 rooms then do it vertically. build a light sensitive shelf about 4'-4.5' up in the closet. make the bottom your flower and the top your veg. better use of the space in my opinion. then you can use a t5 or 400w hid for your flower.

Im only going to be using CFL because i wont have any venting only a fan. I was going to put the veg on the bottom , but why would the top make it better? I might just make 3 shelfs and grow only auto?

just seems more logical to have veg on top. it's usually lighter in weight so the shelf doesn't have to support much and you are usually in your veg more than in your flower so with the veg on top you aren't sitting on the floor all the time. if you are doing smaller plants you don't need more than a foot or so for your veg. who wants to crawl around every time they have to go into there veg.

Ur right man cheers. But the only thing is the door of the closet doesnt go all the way up to the celling so i would have trouble getting into the veg , i will see how it goes if i deside to do an all auto or a mix. Cheers man.

With all those limitations you need to use the closet as a single grow space and do it all there.
It's simply not big enough to have as a two area.

I'm no fan of autos.....just is a personal opinion.

You can achieve the same growth or more just by getting photo-period plants and tossing them into 12/12 from the get-go. I would go with 3 plants from the start and see how it goes from start to finish.

Just an FYI....T5's tend to be cooler than CFLs.....and plants love 'em in veg and I know people that flower under them without a problem (bulb change to 3000K recommended in flower).

But if i made two separate rooms out of it i could fit two different grows of autos in and have a quick harvest. Main goal is the quick harvest to begin with. Theres only limitations with size, hence why i use the autos.

Cheers man i like the sound of the T5 but whats the power consumtion like? Im using cfl only because they are cheap to use and heat sig is low, so if the t5s are cheap also what would the outcome of mixing the two be like?

If you grow autos, you do not need two rooms as they are not photo-period plants. They'll grow under 12/12 or 18/6 (preferred).

There's a reality to growing in the space you have, and that you are limited in options. Sure, you can make a veg section...but you have 1.5x3 feet of real estate, and any space you occupy with veg you are taking away what little space you have for flower.

T5's are very efficient. I use a couple of these for veg and can recommend them....and it's free shipping and bulbs (veg) are included.

Sorry man maybe I didn't explain this proper, what I mean is if I make two rooms they would both be for veg and flower autos not one veg and one flower ya know? So I would have about 3 autos on the bottom shelve and 3 on top and would still have room on the top to keep clones or what ever. Because the room is so narrow but goes from floor to celling I could use the height for 2-3 smaller grows no? And I think I might mix the cfls and T5s if that's a good idea?
