Melee Dose

Has anyone here checked out Melee Dose at:

They appear to be taking advantage of a giant loophole in the 2018 Farm Bill that legalizes hemp based THC. They produce a variety of edibles and disposable vape pens.

I found their Radioactive Diamonds locally and found them to be a more complete experience compared to dispensary edibles which are simply THC and nothing else. I have ordered more gummies and vape pens which are due to arrive today and tomorrow. I will report my experience with the vape pens for those interested.

I don't mean to advertise for them, but check out their website (or google them for stories published around their debut in April 2022) for more details if you think this may be for you.

Okay then. I guess nobody has come across this company...

I found them after a friend recommended edibles he was using that he purchased in a local 'mixed' smoke shop. Being interested and suspicious, I went and bought some. The packaging referred to THC 9. At this point I'm thinking this is a scam because where I live, cannabis is legal, but non medical cannabis shops won't open until the end of the year. Thus, how is this both real and legal?

Anyway, if you read on their website or the various media stories written about the company, it seems that they found this loophole in the 2018 Farm Bill that allows them to sell and ship to all 50 states. Things that make you go huh!

So, I purchased some additional gummies online and then a couple of disposable vapes. This isn't a review, but rather my own observations based on very limited experience.

The disposable vape is chargeable via a mini usb (cable not included). It has no buttons or on/off switch. You simply inhale and it starts heating immediately (a small led lights to indicate this) and stops as soon as you stop inhaling. A youtuber reported it took 15 hits to get 'lit', but the instructions suggested 1-2 hits. I took 2 hits. It felt like the equivalent of 2 vaping sessions with my PAX 3 and Genco Science vapes. I had been looking for a more efficient vape to consume my home grown stuff, but this felt so easy and efficient, as good as 2-3 bong hits. This vape takes zero time to heat up and doesn't actually get even warm and you can put it right in your pocket. I have no idea how many hits it has per vape, but given that it is rechargeable, I am hoping it has a reasonable amount available. They have 4-5 different varieties, with differing amounts of THC 8, THC 9, CBC, CBN, HHC etc., all with different flavors. I wished that they passed on the flavors because those are additional chemicals I don't want to breathe in.

I am frankly astounded that this is legal and something you can order from your home without a medical card and even in states that haven't legalized cannabis.

I'm curious if anyone else has tried this, particularly the vape. They advertise that it is made with 'live resin' which I believe involves some chemical extraction. I'm hoping it isn't horrible for me because I really like the convenience.

Also, if they don't test batches for contaminants, I wouldn't trust them.

All these cannibanoids are produced by using chemicals to convert CBD to these other cannibanoids which don't exist in high % in actual marijuana. It can be done safely, but I don't trust the majority of manufacturers.

I know Extract labs tests their shit and posts it on the product page, but they're pricy.

Yes, this was old news, but not to me.

That said, this was the type of feedback I was looking for. I never heard of the stuff (THC products from hemp) and while I really wanted it to be safe and good and all that, I am not sure it is.

I did check the website and they don't test for contaminates. Bummer. I was actually initially concerned about the flavor being inhaled with the good stuff, but contaminates are worse.

Do these kind of edible have the same issue?

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

No idea about edibles. I dabbled enough in the alternative cannibanoids to realize it wasn't for me. I know if I was worried a littlebit, it would harsh my buzz big time, but edibles give me the "gonna dies" something fierce anyhow.

If you do your research, you'll find what you're looking for.

Extract labs is trustworthy imo, I've heard good things about wonky weeds and death by Gummie bears.

Best of luck.
