mixing kief/crystal with BHO... bad idea

so I remember one time I mixed about 2g of BHO with 2g or so of crystal.. cant quite remember if it was 50/50 or not.

anyways. it didnt smoke very well at all.. the oil made it like wet crystal that wouldnt burn. then when the crystal burnt it made ash in the oil, and it just didnt work good at all. a complete waste. any ideas why??

I had one buddy say its because youre smoking a solid plant matter mixed with an oil and the plant makes ash and I dont know, I didnt get it and this was a few months ago.. few thousand dabs ago.
