Mixing nutrients

You don't keep Ph Up and Down on hand?
I have it but dont use it with feeding schedule, keeps me at 6.0 with my tap water. Armor SI works fine PH down. As I say, I have it on hand but have not had to use it since changing to my current nute feeding schedule. That might change depending on your water..

I use House & Garden Cocos myself and get outstanding results. I've ran General Hydro, Advanced Nutrients, Heavy 16, Cyco and Green Planet previously and I'm not necessarily on a budget I just found its the best bang for your buck and highest concentrated base nutrient other than Aqua Flakes. House & Garden produces even without supplements too. Quite nicely actually..

I get 20 Liters of Part A & 20 Liters of Part B of H&G Cocos and it costs me $140 out the door. 20 liters lasts me a long time and I'm mixing 20 gallons of solution per/day.

Advanced Nutrients supplements are useless in my opinion you should instead run the H&G base with their additives they work better.

I run H&G Cocos with Top Shooter, Bud-XL and for my roots & microbial life I do simple 5 gallon bucket tea brews from Xtreme Gardens once a week and just add it into my nutrient mix @ 2 cups per/gallon of water.

Could I add mother of all bloom to the mix
Hey bud, you could. I dont know that product and it is not necessary. Look into what it is so you know what you are adding to your mix and will make it easier to see if it causes an issue.

As for lights, I am not familiar with either of those. I did a quick search and the dorm lights look interesting. The other is a 400 watt, which dorm were you thinking of?

Has anyone had experience using liquid weight from green planet or synergy from grotek. saw a video from Mr grow it and he used mycorrhizal fungi and black strap molasses during transplant, talked to the hydroponic store guy and he sold me synergy from grotek for the mycorrhizae and the liquid weight for the microbs. Now reading up on it and it says only use liquid weight during flower. Any thought or input from you beauty's out there on either of those products?

I'm not going to recommend any particular nutrient because there are many that are similar, contain what the plant needs, and will grow lush healthy plants when used correctly. But many use Jacks, Megacrop, MaxiGrow/Bloom, FloraNova Grow/Bloom. Some just use the Bloom part of GH Maxi 2 part for the entire grow and harvest beautiful plants.

If you're new to growing the first things to focus on are lighting and environment. That's much more important than fancy nutrients. Get your environment dialed in and give plenty of light and as long as you feed them what they need they should thrive. Cannabis doesn't need much. As far as plants go their nutrient requirements are minimal. It's relatively easy to overfeed and end up causing problems with different nutrients working against each other creating nutrient antagonism. That often ends up with growers thinking they have deficiencies from a lack of something instead of realizing it from too much of something.

Keep it simple.
Hey man, good to see you, hope you are doing well.

What are these brands you mention above. Can you please give more detail? I’ve heard of ‘Jacks’ from this board, but is that the full name? What does it look like?

I used House and Garden nutes for my first couple grows, and I’ve used Emerald Harvest for my last several. I’m thinking of trying something new.

They're just simple dry nutrients. Jacks is a line from JR Peters and has been around and used successfully for years by people growing a wide variety of plants including cannabis. They make a variety of different formulations. MaxiBloom & Grow are simple 2 part products from General Hydroponics as are the FloraNovaGrow & Bloom. Megacrop is a newer product that has gained some popularity. They have changed their formulations several times and now they have a product that is almost Identical to Jacks.

Yes, readily available most places. Epsom salts you can get anywhere. I get mine at the hospital Pharmacy. Almost all grocery stores and pharmacies carry it. Make sure to get unscented. PM me if you like for a feeding schedule if growing with th GH stuff. I didn't make it but an amazing grower on this site gave it to me and it works. For reference here is a pic of my current 4 plants growing with those nutes.
