Mushrooms Compost advice?

Im thinking of planting directly into mushroom compost. Its has an NPK of 0.5-0.5-0.5. I figure thats not enough to burn anything. I hear cow manure compost would have more micro bacteria, how true is this? Can I use mushroom compost as a medium? Whos used it

cannabineer

Ursus marijanus
I have gardened with it, and the mushroom compost I could get was mostly sawdust. I worry about pH and lockout issues with such a product. cn

As an amendment I'm sure you could incorporate it into your mix, but all by itself seems like you'd be lacking some aeration/drainage...it would probably be useful in seed starting mixes but thats just stoney pondering

bump~~someone whose used straight mushroom compost, come help out!
