My 1st Plant - Please Help! **PICS**

This is my first plant. The seeds were bought online, from over seas. The plant was started by a friend and given to me before budding. I included some pics and have some concerns about the fact that there are no branches. I grew Out doors for the last 2-3 months, but due to to colder weather here in S.E. MI, have brought it indoors. I have a handmade box, with 1 flouescent light about a Ft.and a half long. It currently gets 12 ON 12 off and water every other day. I cut the top off about 3 weeks ago in hopes of 2 COLA? on top instead a one, but all i got was 1. and the stem wont grow any more. Any suggestions ( real ) are welcome as this is my 1st time attempting this. I am also interested in cloning this plant but not sure if its time, or too late. Or even how. Any help is welcome. too late to do anything bout it now since its already flowering... but it looks lke it grew alot to get to light then started growing leaves... but it also looks like the 1st 3 sets of branches fell off or were chopped since theres buds growing down there

Yea looks like it you flower it to early. You might get a couple hits from it lol.
