My cloning experiment. Tell me what you think will happen.

Due to space restrictions, I had to axe one of my AK-48 plants about a week into 12/12. Usually, I'd just trash the plant at this point, but I decided to try a little experiment.

Instead of getting rid of the whole plant, I cut off four of the main branches and replanted them. This plant had been previously topped and trained using LST. Basically I prepared these flowering branches like any of my other clones.

When I clone, I've never used a humidity dome or anything. I just cut the branch, strip back a thin layer of the outer skin, dip it in hormone powder, and plunk it into wet soil. I put them in a part of the closet without intense light for a week or so, mist them when I think about it, and rarely does one die on me.

Anyway, as I already said, I did the big flowering branches like any other clone. However, my aim isn't to revert these back into veg. I put the "clones" back into the flowering closet. My idea is that they will eventually root and keep on flowering. I'm hoping to get just one big giant cola on each one.

Clearly these branches were pretty woody, but I think I got deep enough into it with the rooting hormone. I'm confident they'll make roots. I guess my main concern is that they will hermie on me.

What do you guys think will happen? Anyone ever tried this before?

Here's some pics. As I said, the plants were previously trained, so the branches are still a bit twisted. A day or two under the lights should straighten them out. And yeah, I know I got some yellow leaves here and there. The closet was so crowded that I was having light penetration issues...

Im curious about the outcome of this due to the fact i only have one grow space and ive opted for 12/12 from seed. Would like to take a few cuttings and try my hand at cloning :D

Been about 13 days or so and they appear to have rooted. I got rid of the two weakest ones about a week ago. I needed the space for some different cuttings.

Here's the two remaining ones. Will update again once they start fattening up.
