my cutting needs help

So I over watered my cutting and had the new growth die back to the main stem I saved it from drowning but it has no tops left on it will it grow new nodes on its own and is there anything I can do to force it to tia

Let it dry out a little leave it alone too much love to a weed will kill it. A weed hates love, you know hard it is to get them out of your property in general speaking of weeds. Weeds hate love and love is abuse in my opinion. Leave it be let the bitch dry out. If it doesn't survive then start over and don't over love them, they hate love. Plant the thing and leave it alone, it will tell you what it needs when it needs it, which isn't much by the way/. Good Luck
