My first grow with Aerogarden

Started germinating Greenhouse "The Church" seeds on Oct. 20, first one cracked on the 21st, that went into the AG. Second one cracked on Oct 22, that went into the AG, still have one sitting in paper towels, it shows no signs of cracking, but I'm patient. Even if it doesn't sprout, 2 out of three isn't bad. I have some of the herbs growing that came with the AG, I may transfer them to soil later so my girls will have more room to grow. I got feminised seeds, I'm going to grow one until flower, and the other i'm going to keep as a mother and eventually set up a SOG. This is turning out to be one of those hobbies that keeps growing, lol. Thanks to everyone who put in so much time sharing their experience and info for us newbie growers. :blsmoke:

Tragedy!
I came home tonight and found the sprout leaves on one of my plants brown and shriveled. The rest of the plant is bright green and looks otherwise healthy, but there are no other leaves on the plant. Is there any chance of survival?

Last night I took the shriveling plant out, split the sponge in half, then lowered the seedling until only the top of the plant was sticking out, with about 1/2 inch of root dangling out of the bottom. I just checked on it and the sprout leaves are starting to revive. What a relief. The other plant is going strong, and is about to shed the seed casing. I checked the root on that one, it's already about three inches long. I'll probably have to pull all the other plants out of there soon.

well it's been about a month since my last update, lost one plant, but the other is growing like crazy. I'm going to take a cutting soon to clone with. Should I keep this one as a "Mother" and keep cloning from it?
Planted some of the basil and stuff that came with the AG, those plants have gotten huge, I need to take them out and put them in some soil or something.
I'll try to post pics soon, I manage a restaurant, (12-13 hour days) so I can get pretty lazy once I get home. Right now I'm going to go lie in my bed, listen to Stern, and do some drawing before I pass out.
Peace!

Here she is at 5 weeks
to the left is a cutting I just took this morning. Not pictured is a fan leaf I trimmed off and have in some water, just to see if it'll grow roots.

did you get those beans to crack yet?
I have been adding more nutrients, just more of the AG ones and some liquid nutrients, I can't remember the name right now, new leaves are popping out everywhere. Also added another cfl and raised the hood one notch. The clipping is looking very healthy, so I think I can assume that it's going to put some roots down soon, if it hasn't already. I'm looking forward to a mini-SOG, assuming I don't screw everything up somehow.

Hmm You need as much moisture as possible with that clipping....try covering it with one of the plastic cups that the AG came with....My plants are about 2 1/2" tall right now and they are growing quick and healthy....I already know one is female due to how narrow the first set of leaves was compared to the others.....I am using the Hydroponic FoxFarm trio....I add a little bit of the Grow Big mixed with the organic bloom every week and so far they look really healthy...I'll post some pics here pretty soon....The best of luck to you!
Peace
