My First Hate Mail On RIU

so i got my first hate mail today for using cfls. i feel like im a real member of the community here now a couple short messages back and forth lead to this. didnt know hps users use their bulbs for heating their house and saving money in the winter ^^

It all depends on your situation. CFL's can grow some really nice bud. If you have the space and the money HID's are definitely where it's at. It's all personal preference really. Don't sweat the CFL haters. You can do just fine with them IMO.

Hahahahha Who ever said that is a douche. Man do what you gotta do! Either way cfls work, Rosman uses cfls and you know that fool is growin some super dank buds!

this kind of behavior is a real turn off.. even if hps are better ( which i think they are).. i would never slam someone for not growing the way that i do... so what if someone can't afford an hps setup or just wants to mess around getting their feet wet using cfl's... i have seen some really amazing grows come from cfls..
it is like belonging to a car site and being put down because you drive a vw and i drive a ferrari.. we all know that ferrari's are faster and more powerful, but guess what... you may love your vw as much or more than i do my ferrari... nahmean..
and i don't get all of this petty fighting and shit on here sometimes... wtf.. we are all here for the same reasons.. love of the herb, and help and advice when we have a problem or someone else does... or even just for the comunity of it all..
i don't get some people a lot of times.. just do what you enjoy doing... you aren't hurting me if you like to use cfls.. shit why do i care. use a friggin flashlight and birthday candles if that works for you.. who are we to judge?

Man there are people that jus wnt to tlk shit to help them get over being a loser... Cfls are the shit for a personal stash.... Even though out of like10 tries I've gotten 2 right... And I had a qp with 3 plants 6 20 watt =100 watt lights keep em close... Also there the shit for veggi'n... Anyway man dnt worry bout these people... It's wutever works for u like wut they said... I would say that anyone who completely dismisses the lighting choice of another grower probably has no idea what they are talking about.

This clown smokinskins is a perfect example.

CFLs are very good for seedlings and clones. And I have seen many very good all CFL grows.

I myself have three different types of lights in my perpetual harvest setup (CFL, MH, and HPS) and find that each has its optimum uses and its own set of pros and cons.

HPS are better but some people like me just dont have the money or space for one I would like to get one in the future eventually but that dude was just being and asshole trying to brag about having a HPS and like someone else said check out rosemans cfl grow I think he gots a couple 65 watts and his plants are amazing.

^ya i said it. Roseman kills it with CFLS! That guy can grow better bud with cfls then i bet skidmore or skins or whatever the fuck his name is can grow with his hps... Not only that if an hps is getting hot enough to heat your house its probably frying the shit out of your plants!

oh im all cool no worries i got a good laugh out of it hps are better large scale yes but im not growing pot to supply the town im using a dresser for myself. ive seen plenty of great cfl grows on here thats what convinced me to finally try since winters here and no more outside.

I see a lot of negative comments towards the person who was pro HPS in the original post; however, what about the fact that this user has decided to start a thread with no purpose except to inflame the matter?

and i started this thread because i got a random message for no reason saying hps is better the truth hurts. i responded with theres some badass small cfl grows on here and my reasons for going cheap. he followed up with this and then the original quote in the start of the thread. so yes im going to make it public so people can get a laugh out of saving money on heating lol

OP have you ever used HPS?
I grow with it now and have grown with CFL's in the past
I can tell you from first hand experience that HPS>CFL without a doubt
CFL can grow some nice bud but will not give you the buds HPS will that is a fact

I dont think the op is arguing that fact, it's probally the fact that smokeskins is putting down his grow which is a shit thing to do.
