my first indoor cfl grow... comment please. im new to this

Hey guys. I wanted to grow some of my own smoke so I bought some DIY shit and had at er. I vegged for two months and now I'm almost into my 4th week of flower. Pretty sure the bag seed I used was widow. tell me what you guys think.

Grow Specs:
6 gallon self watering bucket.
used almost 400w (Actual wattage) of 64k cfls for veg
using 350w (Actual Wattage) of 27k cfls for bloom
temps never over 75 down around 60 at night
humidity is great. i live by the ocean.
nutes for veg was 12/8/10 african + cal/mag
nutes for bloom are Optimum Hydro A+B mix + cal/mag
Veg box cabinet
Closet(3x8x8') for bloom

As you can tell it stretched on me hard... i had to go away and the guy looking after it didnt know to top it. soo now the fucker is 5 and a half feet tall... lmao

DAY 25: Do you guys think the buds will blow up much more?? never grown before lol

the attachment is a lil sprout from seed two weeks old.

I haven't actually grown any white widow before but since its a sativa it does get pretty big....as you see haha. It might not get too much bigger but definately a little bit more at least. I am having the same issue with my SSH on my first grow and hopefully doesn't get too much bigger. However, looking good man

Seedling looks good! Is it the same strain? Whats ur light setup for it? Got any fans blowing on them?

Different bag seed (think its a collie mix, was bomb weed tho lol) got 2 200w cfls 64k. its in a cabinet for now. no fan for now looking on getting a pc fan asap wire it up to a dc charger and incorporate it into the cabinet

I reckon you've still got about 4 weeks or so, so those buds should fatten up nicely

Nice thanks for the input. see ive never grown with cfls and everyone says hid hid hid hid !!!!! soo i wasnt sure just how fat the buds really would get. ill keep everyone posted on bud development in the coming weeks

been opening up the cabinet during the day and using one of my fans to blow in on the seedling. sucks cuz i have both plants in the same room. so for four hours the climate gets kinda warm and dry with the cabinet closed then dark for 6 hours and then i get up and start the day all over again by opening up both plants to my whole bedroom. i use blankets for light blockers on both cabinet and closet so i dont hurt the girl in bloom.

Seedling UPDATE: 3rd Week in had to take it out of the grow box cause temps were becoming unbearable for the lil one. Main leaves were starting to curl in (correct me if im wrong but is a sign of too much heat?) Anywho for the time being i had to ditch one of my 200w Spiral 64k T5s since they are too dam heavy to just plug into the wall with a socket spliter. So I'll just use one i guess with a aluminum pan as a hood. Id say this lil one is in full veg now, bounced back from an early 2nd node fim(Anyone care to make note if i shouldnt have fim/topped this early?) and is hopefully en route to becoming my second healthy girl. In its final pot, Stand back and watch it grow


PS: Curious to as hot it was getting? At night in the same room as my bloomer with cabinet closed and a blanket over top to block any escaping light, a whopping 105 on the thermo..... think a mini exhaust pc fan is in need :s

i think most people wait until there are a at least 3 nodes on a plant before they top/fim because it might cause too much stress and end up killing the little thing. i could be talking out my arse here though.

but hey, if its worked all right and the plant survived then its all good.

Ya got to looking at it today with my DIY micro cam looks like the fim is gunna cause three tops. just slowed the growth right down tho. hope in the next week or two it'll pick back up.

Got a while to go on the buds, be patient

Hey guys, not much really to update. almost 5 weeks into budding. she is fattening up a bit but i think well see more of difference come closer to the end. As far as the lil one is concerned, i topped it tonight a couple more times. its growing slower but im sort of biding my time till i get more room in the bloom closet. ill post some pics when it bounces back from this round of toppings.
