My little mushies

So although I'd love to grow some dank bud, I'm not really set up to do that right now. So instead I'm enjoying giving birth to some sweet shrooms. I've def got the grow bug. I mean I know I'm going to just love tripping off of em but I think I get way more satisfaction out of the process. The only unfortunate thing is that I dread going on the shroomery boards to get questions answered. Don't get me wrong there's a lot of great info there and RR and a few others are god's gift to new growers. But god damn if there's not some snotty ass noob fucks on there. But that's beside the point really. I thought I'd post some my questions from there on here.

Some background info. Using PF Tek cakes with GT strain. All cakes were put in fruiting chamber a week after full colonization. All existing pins are getting larger by the day and new pins are springing up. Cakes were dunked and rolled but even though there are growing pins the myc hasn't taken over the verm completely.

First of all is it possible to mist too much water into the fruiting chamber? Secondly is tobacco smoke bad to have around the chamber. And finally when I made the chamber I didn't have a drill so I poked holes into the Tupperware. The holes are quite a bit larger than what you would get with a drill so I made less holes.

you dont want holes in the chamber, you should just mist. also, yes you can over mist, but if you do it will get stringy and nasty, you should be able to tell. and i wouldnt smoke tobacco around it since it could infect the shrooms.

Thinks for the advice. But as for as the holes go. They're needed for air exchange. Also w/o the holes perlite isn't able to humidify the chamber. According to RR that is.

Argh. I've got cobweb mold. Fuckin shit I over misted the boys. (I've decided they're male since you want pot to be female. Nice contrast you know. Although I'm pretty sure fungi doesn't have a gender.) My poor babies. I've misted them throughly w/ h2o2. Hopefully they'll be okay. If not live and learn.

well good luck. i used a light the first 1/2hr i put it into the grown chamber to cause it to humidify then i just opened the container a couple times a day to mist. but w/e works.

Fuck. They're ruined with some other mold.

mushrooms need air there has to be enough ventalation that the gases can exchange, i just misted them with bottled water about twice a day so they arent dripping but moist

yes ur right, but only about 1-2times a day do they need an air exchange. i dont care how you guys do it, im just saying, ive been growing for just over a year now. and the way im doing it works great.
