My new piece was love at first sight

Hi peeps. I just wanted to re-post a few accessories I got as the last post was deleted due to advertising showing in screenshots.

I've been searching online for a while now and finally found my unicorn in regards to pieces. With the insane amount of options out there it made my head spin and I couldnt really find one that i was 100% satisfied with.

I realise it's subjective but this particular piece really caught my eye and I found it 'perfect' in all departments with touches of elegance and class; the iridescent glass is cool to look at while smoking and it's not over the top.

The grinder is pretty mint as well .

I'm from Australia and growing this year Afghan Kush, Oreo Cookies, White Widow and GDP. I'm growing outside as I prefer natural sunlight to artificial light. I honestly think it's a no brainier with all the vitamins and minerals in the sun. I think its a better high if grown right than indoor weed. I feel that outdoor lasts longer, smells better and gets me way more body stoned.

In Australia as it's not legal most of the shit getting around is just hydro 'biker weed' that smells like fertiliser and isn't even dried properly, it's usually hard like balls with zero resin on it. People have been so brainwashed in Australia for so many years about what real weed actually looks like, feels like and smells like. Sure this biker weed gives you a head rush but it has no legs and gets me pazzed out to the Max.

My favourite strain is this afghan kush grown outdoors as its an extremely heavy and enjoyable high plus the buds are sticky as hell and so much resin .

Cheers, James

Hello and welcome to RIU. Hope you enjoy the site. Great place for beginners or even experienced grower's.

Thanks. I've been learning the craft of my a senior relative the past few years. I thought I'd give some insight into the disgraceful weed culture in Australia where there's no such thing as strains only 'weed' (unless you grow it yourself) and people demonise outdoor weed and call it 'bush bud' which has a terrible reputation because it's all rubbish seed and hermaphrodite, If you get the quality seed online than it's quality outdoor. The weed culture in Australia is just oh so sad hence I've taken it upon myself.
I came back from thailand recently and sampled a lot of legal stuff from dispensaries my favourite was the oreo range I had never seed buds so crystallised before they were like diamonds

Welcome. Not necessarily with you on the outdoor vs indoor thing, at least where I live, with conditions a little less favorable to outdoor grows. I understand the theory of your comment though.

Nice piece. Have you thought about getting an ash catcher? Adds a second layer of filtration and helps keep the main piece cleaner. Enjoy the site. Lots of growers here from your part of the world.

100% i agree on regards to terms of climate that indoor is in fact better to producing better quality when the conditions aren't as favourable.
In the perfect conditions though I really think the sun has to be far superior to any artificial light source considering its very rich in vitamins and what not, To be honest with you I've never had much opportunity to try great indoor like I would in the states as the hydroponic here is pure cash business and not about quality at all its just about fast bucks it's so very generic and majority of the time it's just junk to me compared to properly grown outdoor stuff.

I'm glad you like the piece it's 15" and I might consider an ash tray for sure
I think American style bongs are far superior as well then australian bongs which have the shoddy hole at the back and you dont pull the cone out (bowl) just release thumb from the hole at the back to clear the chamber and always pull the whole cone(bowl) in one hit
Ir is quite satisfying hearing the pop sound tonight everything I will say.

I'm not much of a functioning smoker anymore as I've always abused pot and chased the dragon hard so I'm always quitting and taking it back up again; these days I've quit but soon I'll go on another week bender or so (blow outs) I call them and then quit again and get back to living my best life so always on and off for me just the way I roll now

Cheers

Welcome to RIU!
Cheers man. I appreciate that. To be honest I was hesitant about posting as there's just so many trolls on forums these days
It's nice to be able to voice some thoughts and not be met with tonnes of twisted satirical and pompous critique haha

welcome to RIU :D first there aren’t vitamins in the sun but exposure to sunlight can help our bodies produce vitamin D. also I agree that the sun can produce a high quality product but saying the sun is superior to any artificial light source is wrong. me and my brother have grown some of the dankest buds indoors under artificial lighting. what i have found is that increasing UVB/UVA spectra helps improve terpene production and increases the amount of cannabinoids produced by your plant.
also here is some info from a book i am reading
"Earth is most perpendicular on the first day of summer, when UVB light is most intense.
Cannabis buds that are ripening under the intense sun of early summer grow bigger and denser and are more potent than when they ripen under the waning sun and variable weather of the fall. By the fall, when sinsemilla normally ripens, not only is the light far less intense, but the amount of UVB being delivered is a small fraction of the amount that is received on the first day of summer....."
what the book is trying to say is that the sun does not produce super dank buds all year long only certain times of the year. but growing indoors you can control the light intensity and amount of uva/uvb that your plants receive so you can control the potency of your end product.
good luck with your grows boss man :D

Cheers. My view on it is pretty simple and resorts to basic common sense. I agree you can get great buds but a lot can wrong in hydro set ups as well its not a fool proof system by any means and plants often fail still, diseases on plants still happen
Statistically it's still not any better, the best hash in the world from morroco is all grown from pot outside which I've smoked in Germany and it blows any indoor stuff I've had away.

The sun is great for healing properties as well like clearing colds as is general oxygen great for the body,
My view on it is like this, plants are "alive" like us. If you spent your entire life inside with zero sunlight only artificial light and recycled air. You might survive sure but I don't believe you're going to be as healthy and happy as someone who has access to the outside world
That's just my view on it man but I do agree with you that in colder climates and whatever it is better because at least you can produce some where you may not be able to outside during such times. I really think the potency is in the seed itself and being able to 'control' potency sounds a little pseudo sciencey to me but that's just my opinion .
I'm just far more interested in outdoor grown weed and if the climate is right then it grows (Jamacia) (North Africa) and (Queensland) than it grows a product that I much rather refer
