Need a new plan..

Alright, currently I have a 6x7x9.5 room framed off my office which is using my garage as a lung. My fans are noisy and I feel shit could just be planned out better. I want to convert it to sealed just to be able to cap the noise and not have 1000cfm of air exchanging in my garage 24/7. I understand the sealing thing but I have some questions regarding cooling. At 1600 watts of hps and a area that’s around 2500btu of natural heat, puts me around 8500btus in the actual room without a dehumidifier, add another 1500 plus. So I don’t have co2 questions or scrubbing, I just don’t know my options to cool the room, this is one of my biggest expenses to convert. Can I use a portable dual hose duct unit?? A window ac installed in the wall?? For my space a $1k mini split isn’t really the answer, I would just cool the entire lung room for that and it’s not going to help my noise then. I’m not venting my lights. Co2, i will grab a 20lb tank, monitor, Jazz, will have to search around for something decent and affordable for my needs. I have a couple months to plan as this run finishes. I know the math and what I can do to cool the room, I’m just wondering what guys are using on these size spaces, I don’t want to get something that won’t work. 12000btu portable with dual hoses vented outside??

Is there any hvac guys here, I have something that came with this house, I’m guessing it’s a old school cooler system but the condenser looks like I would need a water tower or to run water threw it all the time. It would be my answer to cooling maybe if someone can help me identify it, will grab some pics in a few. It’s installed in a “cold” room, R12 system, would have to retrofit it or find a old tank and charge hoses. The rooms built to be a fridge and store food so.. guess it’s refrigeration. I do have my auto air conditioning ticket, I don’t have experience with residential however, just the knowledge of a/c.

Had a chance to grab a 1/2 ton window unit for 175, so I did. Might just mount it in the wall and rectangle duct it 2 feet to the room, mod it so the a/c unit is sealed good. All else fails, upgrade my garage 8k unit. That thing up there I posted, as is, in that fridge room would make a nice cure dry room with some work.

Ok the 12k units for the garage, I’m prob going to use the one ton split that’s collecting dust in my cold room. I was able to identify it and I can’t see why it wouldn’t perform the task. Will fire it up and see if I can refrigerate my laundry room lmao.

So the condenser coil for that refrigeration unit is located outside? I see the compressor in there and thats usually by the condenser.

The condenser and compressor are in my laundry room and the evap is in a sealed insulated storage room off the laundry room. I considered using that storage room but I opted out because I have 2 feet less headroom then my current setup, rather move the evap but I would have to lengthen the suction/discharge lines. Here’s a stock photo of the compressor/condenser unit, they are cellar refrigeration units. I want to say the prev owners ran it on a waste drain, I would throw it on a closed loop to cool the condenser using a rad and fan. It’s a water cooled condenser. Old tecumseh unit, built in the USA.

If it's water cooled I would leave it going to the drain, it shouldn't use a ton of water, should only use water when it's running and the water might just be cheaper than electricity. Worth a look.

That’s what I was thinking about the efficiency. I was just unsure about consumption. I bypassed the water feed to hookup my household RO system about 5 years ago. I’m just hooking up this new RO system then I’m going to restore the water line and see what happens. Run it for awhile, would be great if it worked out.

Just split the line so it can feed both devices.

If you setup a bucket on the drain and watch it running you can get an idea how much it is using but it should be low volume.
