Need Advice on Fertilizer for Top Dressing

Hey All,

Im doing my first soil grow. I just transplanted my babies into 5 gallon fabric pots of Ocean Forest/ Happy Frog. In about 2-3 weeks ill have to top dress.

Im growing Photoperiods, not autos. I plan on only top dressing for Veg once and then flipping into flower once the food starts to dwindle. I decided I want to go with Down to Earth organic fert.
I'm currently stuck between getting the Bio-Fish 7-7-2, Citrus mix 6-3-3, or Bio-Live 5-4-2. Is 7-7-2 too much? is the Citrus mix only for citrus plants?
Should I supplement anything for Calcium and magnesium?

Out of the 3 you listed I'd use the BioLive.

Be careful that you don't use too much when you topdress.

Thanks, I was leaning towards that. Should I supplement anything for Calcium and magnesium?

Well I didn't want to throw anything else in the mix but you could use the All Purpose 6-4-2 or the Vegetable Garden 4-4-4 which both have calcium and magnesium. They list the guaranteed analysis of their products on their website but you probably already knew that.

A lot of those meals have Ca, and some Mg.

Fish bone, crab meal, and shrimp meal especially have lots of Ca. Langbeinite is Sul-Po-Mag: sulfur, potassium, and magnesium.

If you really want to add more Ca you could get some oyster shell flour. Lots of Ca, and will keep pH from falling too low, but I doubt you'll need it. Gypsum works too for Ca.

You could use any of those with good results as long as you don't use too much. I wouldn't use the 7-7-2 though.
