Need help with Shrooms!

Ok, I have tried this before without success. My jars got contaminated last time, so I hope you guys can help me. I am looking for the most foolproof method for the best yield. I have purchased 1 pint wide mouth jars, some tyvek, and a big pressure cooker. I am going to be trying the B+ spore syringes from Mycotek. I am unsure of what to use as substrate, but I am leaning toward popcorn. The last time I used brown rice flour and I used the fractional sterilization method, which I think was my downfall. I hope that a couple of experts will help me out with this. I will be documenting my attempt in this thread.

popcorn is easiest.. i use 4 holes in my lid.. you know the deal, innoculate and throw tyvek back down. use a glove box possibly? my trick is just be as possibly fast as i can be so i dont ruin the jars.. excited to see how you do good luck

Thanks. I really don't think I have room for a glove box, but I may consider it. I think I saw one made from a tote? I agree that speed is key.

yeah.. i dont use a tote lol, its a race against time for me.. use latex free gloves and tie that hair back and get to work.. if you wanna let me know when youre innoculating we'll have a friendly competition . im got a b+ syringe still from microsporetech.com.. itd be cool to compare and see the differences between the companies

Pocorn is forgiving IF you get it dry enough, so take your time there.Look into g2g grain 2 grain transfers, it may add 2 weeks to your schedule but I would rather have a tub with a cake in it than a piddle lil thing from a mason jar.Plus I can have perpetiual tubs going wich is nice they just stack up in my bedroom but not in direct sunlight.The only thing that is wrote in stone is the pressure cooker must go to 15 PSI. IF you spend the money and know that it can go to 15 psi the rest is easy. Just read and apply what you have learned that you do not have to go exactly to each step but what applys t you and your particular grow. Just like growing green it will tell you what it needs just have to get through the first run and take ntes.

definitely PM me or something because i dont wander into this part of town often lol, ill hold the b+ til your ready... we'll see if the company i got the b+ from is ok... for now though im going with the brazilian strain
