Nervouse 1st time grower with LST on plants

Started to LST and it's my 1st time doing it. I have usually let them organically grow with just water n sun light and has been good. This yr stated to do lst and not to comfortable with it , like I'm doing it wrong and not liking the outcome, not sure the proper way to tie them down after the 1st bend/tie over to pot

Usually all I'll do is repeatedly bend the tip over to stimulate side branching. That's indoors. Not sure I'd bother with LST in the sun. I'd top 'em and call it a day.
If auto's, be careful pulling them over at the base of the stem, I feel that's how a lot of people stunt them.

If you wanna do some training for some outdoor girls I would suggest a tomato cage and the foam green wire. I did this last year and worked great for my girls in garbage cans. Just let them grow and as they get bigger I tie them under the rings with the foam wire. When they get bigger I pull them down a bit a bit more, drill some holes around my plastic can and foam wire to branch and then let them grow from there. My Black Domina from last year using this training. Close to 4lbs wet weight in a 21G garbage can.
