hey everyone, I currently have two lovely and beautiful plants. I got the 5pack feminized 'ICE' package from Nirvana.

Well, the plants themselves are a total of 27 days old. 21 days of veg (3 weeks) and 7 days in flower. This is one of the quickest strains I've ever grown.. and besides being quick growing, they're just awsome plants either way.

Anyhow, I only have two of them going and saving the other three beans for later grows... and they're doing so well I don't want to ignore these bugs.. and end up a few weeks into flowering.. and end up having these things eat and kill my plants.

Bug description: They almost remind of gnats. Their wings are almost a white-ish color.. but they almost look clear.. like you can almost see through the wings.. and they seem to be hiding in the soil, and its like when I go to water the two plants.. that seems' to be the time that they come out. But, I'll see them on top of the soil sometimes.. while just checking on the plants. Every chance I get, if I can sneak up on them, I'll kill the bastards. But some of them.. being so small... disappear. Either going back into the soil, or flying off and then coming back at a later time.

There anything I could use, or do, to get rid of these little fuckers? There doesn't seem to be alot of them... I just see one of them, every other watering or so.. and again.. sometimes I'll see one while just checking on the plants.. or checking the soil temps.. :|

Are these little bugs with wings even harmful to my plant?? I don't see anything at all wrong with my two plants as of right now.. no chew marks.. or holes in the leafs.. so are these little guys a problem? :?:

any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

peace.

i have a small amount of gnats, and i use yellow aphid sticky traps. i put them by the pots and soil surface....work well for not harming the plants at all.

good luck!

Use this stuff....

http://www.ghorganics.com/DiatomaceousEarth.html

It works wonders!....Instead of chemically killing bugs, it naturally penetrates the little bastard's larvae's exoskeleton, causing them to dehydrate and die! The adults? Same thing...the best part is, after you apply it, and continue applying it for a few weeks, the flies won't come back.....I'm in the PNW, and we have a lotta bugs flyin around here...been using this stuff for a while, and they havent returned...hope this helps dude!
