New breeder (cross posted)

Hey there rollitup family! I've been wanting to get into breeding; nothing for release, but rather to just play around a bit and see what I come up with. However, due to spacial issues, I really haven't had the opportunity...until now.

So here's the situation. I'm running 4 plants in DWC and all were assumed to be feminized seeds. Well, due to operator error, I had a pH issue with my White Runtz a couple/few weeks prior to flipping. It bounced back really nicely, but I'm 2 1/2 weeks into flower and all signs are pointing to it being male. I did a little research and found out that under stress, feminized seeds can turn out to be male. It really sucks because after the "bounce back" it turned out to be a gorgeous plant.

Here's my question. If I decide to let the White Runtz continue to flower and eventually pollinate the remaining 3 females, how volatile would the offspring be?? Would I run into herm issues?? Or is it kind of a "wait and hunt" type of deal??

Any insight, would be greatly appreciated!

Fem seeds are not necessarily more likely to herm due solely to them being feminized. Reg seed females can be herm too. The propensity to herm under stressful conditions is passed down through genetics. Whether or not a plant is more or less likely to herm depends on what genes were passed to it from earlier generations.

If you want to use a female plant to pollinate other females, resulting in feminized seeds, you must apply something like colloidal silver or silver thiosulfate to block the hormone which cause the flowers to express as female.

Good luck! Peace ✌
