New Cab, New Grow

So I've harvested my first successful crop last week. Buds are in curing and I'm tired of not taking care of a plant and watching it grow. So I've started plans to build a new cab and start all over again.

I want to down size my box to hopefully help control heat, odor, and stealth issues. As well I'm going to have doors on this one that have a lock and make sure its light tight! Can't have any more hermies. My current box is approx. 3'w x 2'h x 2'w2, with two computer fans and a small stationary 4"fan. I realized I dont need a box any where near that big with my last grow, so my plans are to use the old wood from it, and downsize it to about 20"w x 24"h x 16"w2.

Lighting will be 6 x 26w CFLs, both 6500k for vegg and 2700k for flower.
Fans will be the same, both 12v computer fans and the small 4" fan.
Soil will be the same as my last grow as well, Jungle Growth Soil.
Nutrients, I will be using Alaska Fish Fertz. and Alaska MoreBloom. And I will probably buy something else for Vegging.
Seeds, I will be using some good bagseeds from some Blueberry and some other "headies" buds I've collected.

I will get pictures up of the new cab once I start on it this Payday (Friday). I have some sketches for it I will put up either tomorrow or later tonight. Anyone got some suggestions or comments on 12/12 from seed with CFLs? Im thinking about trying it out, Im not going to large amounts of buds as its all for personal.

if you dont want alot then go for it (problly under 15 grams) I got 12 grams off 2 plants on my first grow with the same amount of cfls plus it was vegged for like a week or 2. It was my first grow and you probly have more experience.IMO not worth 2 + months. I do at least 5x better with hps same watts

sounds good man, I cant wait to see it finished. I have a similar set-up. My cabs hieght is 30'' with 6-6500k cfl + 6-2700k cfl's all 26w each. But good luck I'll be following your thread.

Yeah it will be pimkins. I measured and re-measured like 3 times with the pots and lights. Plus, thats the height requirement im confined to. The way my closet is setup thats the highest it can be

Now that I know people are interested, I need some advice.

I read somewhere a while back about the hole size for fans inlet and outlet being different for better air flow? Or should I just add an extra fan for inlet or outlet if I have high temps?
Also any advice on building cabinet doors? I'd say that I am a pretty skilled carpenter but that is one thing I am unsure of.

Here's my cab as of today/night. Need to repaint the inside, wire the fans and lights, hang the lights, and wire them... then she'll be ready to roll!
(Tape measure is set to 12" *1 ft.*)

Got all my electrical wired, ran, and mounted last night. All I need to do today is get my doors on, caulk a few holes, and build my light traps for my fans then it will be GROW TIME.

You got that light fixture at home depot didn't you? Also, the plant won't get very big in that small of a pot.

Yessir I did. And I know It wont get big. Kinda need that to my advantage. Ive put a lot of thought into it and I think im going to try 12/12 from seed this grow. Just to give me some quick practice and quick production. With my last grow I learned a lot about vegging and this one I want to put more effort into flowering, trimming, and curing. Hence trying out 12/12.

Started germing my seeds today! Going to start out with 8 seedlings, Veg for 2 weeks after transplanting into larger cups, then switch to 12/12 to sex out the males. I am using bagseed again, 3 seeds from some SUPERB FIRE buds. and the rest are from your everyday headies. Pics tomorrow!

Been really busy lately. Recently picked up the job as manager for my buddy who is an up and coming Dubstep/ House party Dj.

So I planted 8 seeds, manged to get 6 to pop. 4 random bag seeds, 1 REALLY dank seed, and a Blue Berry YumYum seed. And as of today, 8-19, I have a clone from my outdoor plant that I found out to be a FEMALE! So I'm trying out cloning for the first time. Along with the clone I also transplanted 4 of the 6 other plants into larger pots, and I am going to transplant the other random seed and the BBYum plants on Monday if they stretch up some and grow some more. Going to have to build a bigger box for flowering or hopefully narrow it down to just 3 or 4 plants. I think 4 would be the absolute max for my box.
