new grow(3rd) 400 HPS

okay guys help me out... this is my 3rd grow. my last grow was pretty successful (first pic) after some time and a move to a new house i have started back up. this time i have the money and time and desire to go bigger.

my plan: the space im working with is pretty much 4x4x4 area. i have purchased a 400 w hps light from htg. i have 6 young plants strains are NL, purple TW and 3 unknown bag seeds NL fem for sure. i want to make these my mommy's wich i'd keep in rubber maid with 65k cfls.

i want to have a perpetual grow going either harvest ever 2 weeks or every month. my quetion is how many clones can/should i put into flowering at one time under the hps with optimal yeild with minimum - no veg time after rooting please help me thanks guys0415101756.jpgView attachment 1188457View attachment 1188458View attachment 1188459View attachment 1188456

hey man looks like you got ur self a good set up and a good plant. ive been wanting to see what the 400w can do.
sorry im not to good in the perpetual department lol...but i do that you can put as many plants as you can get in there with out it being too crowded if that helps.

but is it okay to put clones strait from rooting into flowering and if so well it harm my harvest any if i put like 10 in at a time? could i score and oz off each plant with a 400w and plus rep for the reply man

Like put 10 plants under one 400 watt? It would make more since to put 4-5 plants and lst them or top them. Whatever u prefer. U will probably get a much better harvest that way

what do you do for the heat? sometimes my room gets excess 95 from the metal halide. im about to switch it to the hps though for 12/12 i wonder if its gonna be any cooler

I am subbed, I think that if you would veg those plants longer you might see a better yield.
for example I was watching Youtube videos last night, watched a ton of 400watt grows.
Saw most who Vegged 14-21 days under a 400 were getting only a Z.

With my 600 and 21 days in veg cycle My ladies are greater than 12 inches tall.

to Killadelph420 , I don't think it will be any cooler when changing from MH to HPS. Having shorter days will keep a lower average but when It's 95 outdoors I am Fighting with all I have to lower the grow area temps. thank goodness it is now fall and winter is here soon.

I think with a 400 you can get 7-14 grams a plant(maybe more) if you are putting clones straight to flower after they root so i would say stick 5-6 in every 2 weeks or month and you should be harvesting the same way.Thats if your space can handle that.Once i get my mother plants situated i will be doing this as well and i am using a 400 to flower.
