New Grow

Hi all! I've been a lurker for some time now and just started off on my own. I'm a newbie to growing, but I've done my fair share of research. I started off by germinating seed from attitude, was told it was blue dream but reading forum posts have me believing that true blue dream is only available via clone? Anyway, my setup is simple enough:

Soil: FF Ocean Forest
Pot: 1.5Gal
Light: 3x 23w CFL 6500k
Cabin: 29"H x 20"W x 14.5"D covered with panda film
Air: Single exhaust in-line air vent (172 cfm)
Temps: Run warm ~ 70-80 when lights are on, fan only runs with lights right now (might be changing fan to 24/7)

In my opinion the plant is growing well and looks healthy which is my main focus! She's about 6 inches tall with a nice spread thus far. The pipe cleaners are being used in my attempt at LST. Also, fimmed the 4th or 5th node. I'm trying to maximize my use of space being that I have 2.5ft in height to work with. Is it true that flowering will double the size of the plant? Meaning I should flower around 1ft? Some other questions of concern, does the plant size looks to be on track (in 2 days, 21st, will make 1 month from the start of germinating the seed)? Roughly how long of a veg/flowering cycle am I looking at considering all the aspects?

Anyway, I'm definitely looking for some direction or advice on getting out as much as I can, knowledge-wise, from my first grow. Thanks for looking!

From your pics it looks like you only filled the pot about half way? Since your plant is a bit tall you could add some soil and new roots will form along the main stem.
Keep tying down the branches so you can take advantage of those CFLs and flower at 12"
Good luck!

Quick update. 3 Days passed and I've added 3 more lights, now running with 4x 23w 6500k's + 2x 23w 2700ks. Three lights to a strip plug. Also took JayJammer's advice and been a little more aggressive with lst + more soil. She looks really bushy right now!

Just took some more pictures and she's looking good since i've been spreading her out more. Although, it almost seems like the last few days she hasn't shown significant growth. I decided to loosen her base a bit and lst her the opposite way to get her underside.

The first two pictures are the new front and seem pretty full. There were two things that concerned me that I found on her..

Now, it obviously looks like growth that quickly died out because it was the hidden side of the lst bend. Any insight onto those? Without being tied down, it's a full 6inches from top of soil and upward. The width is about 10inches.

Since you fimmed your plant, it may be some growth that was disfigured during the cut and never really recovered. Also, make sure your LST isn't choking any of your stems.

Hey everyone! Here goes another update and also a quick thanks to those who have been checking out my grow and giving tips, I really appreciate it.

Timeline so far:

August 21 - Began germinating seed
Roughly 7 weeks + few days of Veg (18/6)
October 7 - Began 12/12 light cycle

I also started germinating a feminized Sour Diesel I'm looking to 12/12 from seed. I'm hoping they finish roughly the same time. Here she is..

I'm proud thus far and hope to finish strong with this. Tying her down is proving to be more and more difficult as there are stems EVERYWHERE! A lot of stems from below are finding their way through :). The only negative I have been noticing lately is some of the fan leaves are feeling dry. Not completely crispy but not lush either. I've been doing well managing the distance from my CFLs to get the most out of them without burning leaves. There is very very minimal burn on her, maybe 3 tips total. The only reason I can think is stagnant air a few hours during the day? That will change tomorrow.. I'll be running my carbon air exhaust 24/7 cause she's odor-ing something sweet these days.
