New Grower, question about the pots

Hey guys, got my room set up with a flood and drain system, was just wondering what size pots I should use for the hydro set up? I plan on using these Air Pots: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_sr_garden?_encoding=UTF8&node=1055398&field-brandtextbin=Superoots and I know for outdoor growing the pot size is pretty vital to how large the plants can get (always heard a gallon per foot), so I guess my question is does that apply to growing hydroponically as well?

Yes and no, With Fming, Scroging and Sog techniques you can get better and more yield. These are great for indoor grows and even better for outdoor where the size has no limit.

Well right now I have 6 plants in a bubbleponics system each plant is in a 3.75 inch net pot at only 10 days my roots are growing like crazy (about a foot with multiple roots that size on each plants) and they have plenty of room to grow under neath. so its not all about the size of your pot but the room they have to grow after the roots exit the pot if you are doing hydro that is. Those pots are kind of expensive I suggest going to stealhhydroponics.com and getting some net pots from there.
