New growth yellow and curling....

Medium: Coco/soil mix
Strain: Himalayan Gold
Ph: 5.8 - 6
Nutrients: Organic botanicare Line

Problem: Bottom of plant seems fine maybe except some darker green leaves maybe from nitrogen overdoes. Lime green-yellowish new growth with curling tips. Someone said it was a calcium deficiency, so plants were flushed with a clearex and a mild nutrient with cal-mag was added and it looks like it just got worst.

Does anyone know what this could possibly mean and how to resolve this situation?

To me it looks like some kind of toxicity, but I'm no professional. Any of you experienced this, if so how do you fix it.

Oh btw, it is under compact fluorescent lights so it's definitely not heat stressed

this is interesting, can i have more info on your grow. How often you feed. How often you water. Your light schedule. PH level. Also PPM if u know. how much nuts u adding to the plant according to the directions on what ever feed u are using.

watered when the medium feels light so there is not over-watering but not under watered neither. Nutes that are being added are all botanicare which is organic based so it is pretty forgiving if too much is added: Liquid karma, sweet, veg formula, and cal-mag along with a few drops of super-thrive all checked to PH: 5.8 - 6 since tap water is being used, only 1 teaspoon of calmag is added to the gallon of water,

Cal-mag: 1 teaspoon
liquid karma: 1 Tablespoon
veg nut : 2-2.5 tablespoons
sweet : 1 tablespoon
and a few drops of super-thrive
pretty much what the directions say

i wouls still check the soil itself. and i would think over watering and nut slightly to much nuts. I would try and water your plant every 3 days and only every other watering give it some food. :)

Thanks for the help bro but the only thing is if it was watered every 3 days wouldn't it be over watered? the bucket has great drainage but since compact fluorescents are being used, and virtually have no heat the soil stays wet for about 2 weeks....

well then only give it water and nuts when you cna go about 2 inches down and it is slightly wet i mean very slight. Hope that helps. Also try flushing it, if that does not work

I noticed you were using a soil that has Coco in it -- This leads me to believe either OVERWATERING, or PH imbalance.
I tried to grow in straight coco before and had similar problems -- the grow was unsuccessful and I never fully understood why.
Through research i have determined that coco is much like HYDRO in the way it works. PH must be adjusted(as it is neutral), and it holds a lot of water -- it can be a touchy medium. Not to mention inferior coco mediums contain high levels of salts as coco coir naturally is high in such.

Im not sure how much you have in there or if it is even significant -- This is just what I noticed as a beginner using coco

I dont know the PPMs as the medium is coco/soil mix
no $ = no RO filter

you may be right gardenking. Maybe a coco/pearlite mix would work?
I just never seen an overwatering problem do this

I dont think it is over watering alone, but i got a strong feeling the coco in the mix has a huge role to play in the condition.

i just checked a post saying that it may be a toxicity since the bottom of plants are affected during deficiencies since the new growth pulls nutes from the bottom to supplement the top growth, and the top is affected if there is a toxicity since new growth is coming in using the nutrients in the container. maybe too much of a certain nutrient was placed in the water because PH level is fine as is moisture in container (it retains just enough water since plenty of pearlite was placed in medium.

The plant was flushed so now i will just have to see what happens. If this solves the situation, i will know it is a toxicity(most likely having to do with cal-mag)

Hey I saw this a double wammy. ( I never had this with TDS in my water of a ppm of 850 before nutes never caused this but)I forgot to correct the ph and double added nuts in the water I smoked that day before mixing. They recovered. (1st the hydro store was helpful but only after I called the nut tech support line did i get it straight. They really advised only watering once a week with nuts and the other or two with straight PH'd water. That worked the top leaves like yours showed the stress and have recovered maybe 8 % the rest of the plants are fine. Of course when smoked will see how they tasted and the high.
