Hey all...

As you an see I am way new here, and am starting right off with a question... Geez some people!... Anyway, while new here, I have grown a plant or two in the past.

This year I find myself in an situation where I am short on time, and may need to harvest soon. Believe me, this sucks big time but I want to do what I can to get my 2 girls as mature as possible. They are well into flowering, and I am now altering their light times, and this is just the 3rd night.

I am familiar with 'black boxing', and have done this in the past to promote early flowering. What I am not familiar with is taking a perfectly healthy plant, well into flowering, and trying to get it to mature quickly by reducing the hours of light.

Are there any of the experts here who have done this? My specific questions are... Any thoughts on timing? Any pitfalls to watch out for? Any advice on light vs dark hours?

I have read where some have reduced the light to 10 to 11 hours to make the plant think winter is upon it and to hurry.

Any thoughts or advice for this new member will be greatly appreciated! Oh, and here are a couple of pics taken as they were put to bed this evening...
