New setup need ideas advice

I intend to buy a 36 x 20 x 62 grow tent, I intend to grow 3 to 6 plants depending on how much light is required to get that many.
lighting option I have considered
400w hps cooltube set up
150w hydrofarm grow kit.
I have planned to eventually use an aeroponics system but i believe due to serious budget constraints I have to begin with soil.
if I saved the money on the light by going with a 150 I would however be able to afford the aeroponics. I guess my question is do you think that the light will be big enough to runa 3 -6 pod aeroponics system?

Go with the 400, definitely.

I have a 600w light and have 6-10 plants going with it, so id say for 3-6 plants a 400w should be OK. More light is always better so if you plan to ever go larger then you might save for a little longer as the cost difference between 400w and 600w is noticeable but not a huge difference.

I have made the mistake in the past of buying something that was O.K. and not great because I could only afford the O.K. option at the time and in the end had to upgrade to the great option and had to spend the money again when I should have just saved a little longer and bought the better item. Just my 2 cents

You would be regretting the 150w by the time you reached flower with that many plants. 400w would be great for that size area.

Thank you all for your quick replies. Question number two if budget was jsut the main concern could i grow just two maybe 3 plants under a 150?
I agree that the 400 is better I am just trying a small op first to see if i can be good at this then I will invest heavily with the 6x 6 tent and the holy hell set up lol

I think a 150w would be good for like one, maybe two small plants.

Looks like some good deals. Typically with the cool tube you would run a carbon scrubber, then cool tube, then exhaust fan out.

Makes for passive intake in your tent then with no need for a fan for intake.

I forgot to list the carbon filter. So using that exhaust setup up I would not need an intake fan at all?

Correct, the air being pulled through the tent should be more than enough.

I run a 400w with an air cooled hood in a 3x3' and it work great, a cool tube would be even better.

hey heres an update on what i got. Galaxy 400w ballast running a silvania bulb thru a non aircooled hood. with a t8 veggin under there now.
