Hi everyone I am new to this so pls excuss anything I miss

using DWC system with 12 5 gal pots and 50gal res
food is Love Potion Grow (10-10-10) by Maple Reef

Started having problems with lockouts mostly Cal and MG and also a bit of browning of roots becaus of 280ppm well water so last week I flushed system and switched to RO water and added food 600ppm + 150ppm Cal-Boost(also by Maple Reef) + epsom salts at 5g/gal and treated with Plantacillin roots are better but my ppm keeps climbing and the PH keeps dropping down mid 4's am enclosing pics of yellowing and dying fan leaves also still some new growth leaf curling and darker viens with yellowing
Am flushing again today plz help 070611_1102[00].jpg070611_1102[01].jpg

That's a lot of nutes. I would use a lighter solution. 150 with Cal Mag and whatever you need to get it to 450-500. Less is best at this point.

I would drain and just add water. Let it run for 24 hours. If your PPMs don't jump in that time, add the nutes and adjust your ph. Let them drink some water for a day though then go light on the nutes. You'll be surprised at how little they need. Add more nutes as the plants take them in and your ppm drops.

just put in new RO water and ppm climbed to 450 with ph 5.7 will run this water for coupla hours without adding anything to see if ppm and ph remain constant am getting pics of new growth and plants and will post them soon

Sounds like you have a lot of salts built up. Since it is rising, I would let it run for 24 hours then drain and refill. If you don't, you'll have no idea what your solution consists of. I ran mine at 400 ppm for the first week and they grew like freaking crazy.

thanks for the reply do you have any ideas on why my ppm climbed so much while the ph dropped through the floor went down to 4.6 one time I thought it might be from curing the root rot but I am brand new to DWC usta to be a dirt farmer till I got my Health Canada permit to grow 50 plants

I would guess that some salts and nutes lower the ph and they are leaching into your water from your plants and medium. As the solution changes so does the ph. Hence why you adjust the ph after adding nutes. As you flush that stuff out, your ph should stabilize.

I had the Root Slime and my ph spiked when I had it. Went through a bottle of DOWN before I even opened the UP. Once I got the slime solved is when I noticed my ph would drop instead of rise. Now I just have 7.0 water in my bucket that feeds my reservoir through a float valve and that keeps everything in check at around 6.0. The top off bucket really helps to keep a stable ph.

if your ppm rises this is also an indicator that your ppm is to high the plants take in the water and excess nutes drive the ph down

update couple are lookin real bad ppm still climbing slightly am keeping below by draining to waste and replacing with RO to keep ppm below 500 Hope this works Oh ya ph seems to be stablizing
