New to Michigan, Have Card, Looking for some advice

Hello! I moved to Michigan from Indiana over the summer. I went to the doctor's office 3 weeks ago so I should be getting my card soon. I live south of Coldwater close to highway 69. I have one successful grow and next harvest should be about 4 weeks away. Seeds came from overseas, growing in soil, have 2 1000 watt lights, one over 6 plants (harvest), one over 6 plants that I planted last week.

So my questions include:

- Best place to get seeds in Michigan (close to where I live)

- Best dispensary to get wax and weed

- Recommendations for strains (don't need the most powerful strains, looking more for a producer of big buds, and one with high cbd content)

- How cops act when you get pulled over with it, how much before they say its against the law, and DUIs from weed

- and sharing with friends/selling and whats legal - doctor didn't know - didn't even ask why I needed the card

- what do you think is the best way to grow weed

- And finally any other things that I didn't ask for but you think I should know

Why in the world did you get a card and into the "system"?

Michigan is weed legal
Legal no card
12 plants
2.5oz on person
Up to 10oz kept at home
And CPL!

With card
12 plants
2 5oz TOTAL (NO MORE legally allowed)
NO CPL

what does CPL mean? I have epilepsy, couldn't buy from dispensaries without it, not the best at growing so ran out before my next crop.

whats wrong with the system?

if I have a lot on the premise that was cultivated what are the requirements? I live by myself so does it have to be locked?

Here's an episode of The Dude Grows Show with an attorney from Michigan regarding DUIs.


The most important part I took from the episode is that the Michigan Supreme Court has upheld that having a medical card protects your 4th amendment right to privacy no matter what the cop smells.

Great lakes genetics is the best seed seller in the state imo.
The best dispensary is probably herbal solutions in ypsilanti, I know it's not close to cold water but idk of any dispos out that way worth a shit. Prices at herbal solutions are good and they have the best wax,oil,butter in the state.the buds ain't bad either.
Dont drive around with more than 2.5oz and you will be fine.

So it's just 12 total recreational plants in the house hold? Or 12 per adult me and my wife. Any way I heard it's just a fine if over the limit. We both got our cards for another year but if its only way for us to have 24 we may have to renew.

- Fuck dispensaries. Grow your own. They're all overpriced pieces of shit with mediocre product.

- Never been pulled over with product yet. I keep it professional. Everything I'm transporting is stored out of sight and within the law. I have been pulled over twice for seat belt violations. I was polite and respectful. Yes sir. No sir. All that shit. No ticket both times. Got pulled over leaving a liquor store with my headlights off at night in rented mini van while drunk. I was certain I was going to jail. Cop didn't even ask me to get out of the car. Ran my ID, came back, and said have a nice day. That shit never would have happened in Missouri. Love Michigan!

- Share with friends. It's fun and recreational in our state. Just don't call it medical marijuana and then share it. That would be illegal unless it's another registered patient :)

- I prefer drain to waste with 100% perlite as my medium in hempy buckets. No pumps, no bugs, and no problems with rapid growth and low upfront costs.

- I moved here from St. Louis, Missouri 10 years ago. What you should know is that this state is devoid of good eating for the most part, everything is more expensive, people are generally bitchier, and winter feels like 7 months sometimes. I don't like people or heat, so long winters are my friend, and I love me some Michigan. Wouldn't trade it for the world. Welcome aboard!

I just moved to Michigan myself. I'm in northern Michigan. I won't have a crop down for a bit and so far I'm not impressed with anything from the dispensary and because of this quarintine shit I haven't been able to meet anyone really yet either. Just chilling out here in the woods trying to get the new spot rolling. About half capacity atm as I been doing all the work myself.

Where's the good flower at if anyone knows, I need that one or two hit instant stress relief.
