Newbie looking for advice Liberty Haze, Tangerine Dream L.E.D. Grow

Here is what I got.(1) Blackstar 135w led (2) Sunblaster 2' T5's I am currently growing a Paradise Seeds Virtigo Auto and is about 35 day old from seed see photo bellow. I just started a Tangerine Dream and a Liberty Haze by Barney's Farm and I was thinking about growing them together in a 2'x2'x4' since I only have one big light right know. I am using 2gal smart pots with roots organics soil and their nutrients players pack. will this work? looking for as much advise as possible. I have great circulation and my temps stay around 75 to 80 with 60% to 70% humidity. I keep my PH constant with Nectar For The Gods it is at 6.5. if I have to I can get another Blackstar but it would be a couple weeks. Here is couple photos. The Tangerine Dream and Liberty Haze just sprouted today. If I do ok what do you think I may yield I am hoping for 3-4 onces.

But the vertigo for the last two days would start drooping at the last few ours if its lights on photoperiod so i changed it from 18/6 to 12/12 seems like that's what it wants since it is fine for the other 14-16 hours of lights. I was under the impression that you could leave autoflowers on the same schedule throughout the entire grow. i know this may hurt yeild but I'm not to worried it is my first grow it is the tangeriu

12/12 will slow flowering in auto-flower strains from what i understand, though i have never grown them myself. from the journals i have read that are growing them 18/6 or 20/4 is the best light/dark amounts. As for yield, this will vary depending on the strain, i've generally found a plant that matures to 3ft tall will give between 20 and 40 grams of bud, again this depends heavily on the strain and conditions of your grow.(ie light intensity,nutes,temp etc..) Since those led lights don't give off alot of radiant heat you should keep it close to the top of the plant, I use a 1000w HPS light in a air cooled hood and generally try to keep it 10-12 inches above the canopy, since your using a led light on a single plant you can have it at as close as 6 inches from the top. You can easily put 2 small plants in a 2x2 space.

I will definitely move the light back down then and keep the lights at 18/6 . will post some pics tonight or tomorrow . i am thinking my plants will only get to be about 2 1/2 ft 3 ft max but i want them to be bushy and fill the whole cabinet should i top them or lst. As u can see i have two cabinets and can get another light led only have to watch my electric bill. i definitely want to maximize my yeild.i seen a guy on here put 4 plants in a fridge that has roughly the same footprint and got 4 onces i am trying to do the same.

I grew a tangerine dream once, it really was some killer bud, I wish I had kept a clone of her. My question, did you mean to say you only have 4 feet of clearance for height? Off that's so you're definitely going to want to figure something out. The tangerine is mostly sativa and grows rather tall, I think mine finished just under 4 feet and that was after being tired back. Also, it would be good to mention that she has a fairly long flowing period. I think Barney's quotes it as a 9 or 10 week plant, but mine definitely went over 12.

Don't worry about your electric bill, leds don't draw alot of power, in truth my 1000w hps on a 12/12 schedule only costs me about 12$ a month. though this will depend on what you pay for electricity but if your just using 2 LED UFO's you probably won't notice much of an increase on your bill. if you only have 4ft of clearance flower the Tangerine Dream and liberty Haze at no more than 7 inches,always consider that a plant with triple or quadruple in size during flower so plan accordingly. I'm currently growing BrainStorm from Dutch Passion which is 90% sativa and 10% indica, i made the mistake of flowering them a bit too tall and have had to cut the tops off a few cuz they stretched a hude amount during the 2nd week of flower. Thanks for all the great info guys. i think I'm gonna get a larger cabinet got my eye on a 2x4x6 cause I'm wanting to yeild about 4 ounces is that reasonable for that space. also gonna pick up another 135w led and add some t5's during flower it will be a few weeks gotta save up but they are only seedlings now so they should be fine under my single t5 till then. So I have a plan. Cant get a larger cabinet so I am going to put 1 1/2 ft drops in the floor of the cabinet on both side to give me a height of around 5 ft meaning my plant can be around 4 ft tall that's all plant so about 4.8 with the pot I am also going to get another light and give each plant its own 2x2x5 ft space to grow in. Both seedling are looking great will have photos up later today. will 2 gal pots be ok? Still also looking for someone with experience with the roots organics line of nutrients and soil.

Also should I top them so they bush out and if I do does this stunt growth? Maybe scrog? Just want to use all of my space as efficiently as I can but I guess that's what we are all trying to do right lol. Thanks a lot guys for all the help so far.

I would scrog for sure brother. That will allow you get the most from your space and light.

Yes roots soil will work. Shouldn't need the nutes much. Aside from the catalysts and such - till flower. Roots has a lot in her already.

Maybe some grow at the end of veg. Some at the beginning of flower. Then a lil more around the 4th wee with the rest of your bloom enhancers.

but it's a wait and see thing. Gotta feel it out. Too many variables to have a fool proof idea.

Still kind of wondering what you guys think that I may be able to yield I know nothing is for sure just looking for a rough estimate. Here are some pictures. Im growing 2 liberty haze organically. Its be fun to grow so far. 1 week into 12/12. Not too much stretch so far. Haven't had any problems or concerns from the plants.

I have another ? are 2gal smart pots going to be big enough I used a 3gal for the paradise and I feel it was a little overkill.

Paradise is looking really good buds getting hairy starting to swell day 39-40 from seed. Just about got the money for my new light and the rest of my supplies to put the drops in the floor to get me to 4 1/2 ft of grow space. Still curious if 2gal pots are going to be large enough for the Tangerine Dream and Liberty Haze. The seedling are coming up fantastic about a week old and they are shooting up good.

My honest opinion is nothing less then five gallon pots.

I clone/seed into a 1 gallon then pot up into a 5. 3,4,5 will all work. I have used two's. it can be done, but way more beneficial to go 4's or 5's. I love my 5 gallon airpots esp!

the bigger the root mass the bigger the buds.

when its all said and done i would say roughly an oz off the plant you showed. If she would have been topped/super cropped , it would have been much more. Looks good though brother.

I run a once a month perpetual as well. Works out to more like 5 weeks here and there. I love it.

Well I had an epic failure something shorted out and my cab last night and caught fire. I was home and able to extinguish but I lost everything. So I am done not even going to try and restart not worth my money and definitely not my home. PEACE

I have lit rooms with thousands of watts , fans , pumps. Really have to take caution. For $100 you can buy grow room extinguishers that hang in the room and go off automatically. Very nice peace of mind. Making sure all plugs and cord are within watt limit and adapters / timers. shit can happen. Good thing you caught it , but dont let it scare you away from this awesome hobby. You can come back in no time! Learn and do it better next time.
