I'm assuming you havent bought a fan yet.....I can't answer your ??? except to say I have a 250 cfm squirrel cage fan that is quieter that the 150 cfm duct booster fan I also use.....as a matter of fact I can't even hear the squirrel cage fan when I close the door....I would highly recommend Squirrel cage fans!!!!!

A larger fan run at half Speed or half CFM is generally quieter than a smaller fan running at higher speed.

why not just use a quiet ass 465cfm fan with a duct muffler. insulated ducting, rubber grommets and bunji cords to install/hang.

you should be in the game bro!

Johny cool but im aiming for as close to absolute silence as i can. Im going to use every possible noise reducer including those lB mentioned.

Soo any one with a 465cfm or anything in the 400cfm range blower that could run it at half speed and give me a noise report?
