Noob here, in need of setting up a 4x4 tent please HELP!

I am new here, but a fan new grower and in desperate need of help.

So to put it simple, i need to build a LED light, i was watching growmau5 and Greengenes and im confused. My question is what sistem is best, Cree vero citizen or Luminus CMX22 or some board, i need the min max watts per 4 x4 space needed and whitch one is more efficient.

Then, i would like to know how to feed my plants. A program that is organic. I would like in coco, but normal would do to.

Thank you for taking time to read this, and sorry for my mistakes im not english. And i know somewhere already someone answered those questios but would help alot if someone could help me out.

Thank you

Generally on quality LED you want 30-50 watts per sq ft. A 4x4 tent is 16 sq ft so you are looking at 480-800watts. Good COBs and led strips you can usually get by on the lower end of 30-40w per sq ft. 600 watts would do great and 500w would still get the job done. If you go to 800w you will probably always be keeping the light dimmed.
You can't go wrong with the brands you listed. It usually comes down to a cost vs. efficiency comparison. Of the ones you listed citi and luminus will probably be the most cost effective. Also the 4ft light strips are worth looking into. Check out Samsung F Series, Q Series, and Bridglux EB strips.
The light strips usually work out cheaper since they don't require a heat sink.
My two cents on the feed and growing medium: Soil is easy especially the amended, organic route. Doesn't get any easier than just add water.

Thank u for the reply. Im interested in the cheapest way, and ill have a sistem around 500 w give or take. Im interested in specific data. like 6 Vero 29 and a driver, Witch driver. etc. I heared that Luminus are 13 $.. thats cheap:) And witch driver to get and how many.

I dont know, 3000 kelvin or 3500k.?

Thank u

Honestly don't try to build a fixure if your knowledge is that limited go with a prebuilt light or a kit that comes with everything. If your to lazy to research you have no business building lights. As far as amount of light 400-700watts would be good nutrients I use jacks but once again you will have to do some research. If your going organic that takes lot more time researching. If you read stuff for 100 hours or so you should be ready

theyre all pretty comparable, nothing is gamechangingly different from any other

luminus are the best bang for the buck followed by vero and QBs

prob best to poke around the other sections of the forum and ask a lot of questions, there are an infinite number of ways to grow. look at some other peoples threads and see what they are doing to get an idea of the various different setups. for a beginner soil or coco is pretty easy

Actually for a week now research is all that i do:) I posted this cause im new on rollitup and didnt know where to start, But i am ready to research, im a fast learner. Just need someone to point me in the right direction.

So i should look for luminus setup. Thank you. I was thinkin for 6 vero looks to be a good setup. One driver 6 cobs. I dont know anything about Luminus. Someone knows where to purchase those?

Read the greengenes thread beginning to end watch all of his videos and watch all the growmau5 videos plus read the diy with quantum boards thread beginning to end by then most of your questions will be answered and you will have more specific questions that will be easier to answer. What you buy will probably be based on avalibility more than anything else.

3500k will be the best overall spectrum for a veg/flower combo light. Check out @CobKits and he can get you everything you need for this.
A good source has told me that a test conducted between 3500K 80CRI and 3000K 70CRI... the 3000K 70CRI produces plants that consume more food and grow larger. No word on flowering but logically the 3000K 70CRI plants will produce a better yield too.

OK so i found a source on alibaba where i can buy a DYI cobs set Cree CXB3590 or Cree CXB3070 80 CRI. The Cree CXB3070 are cheaper they both are 3500k. I can get more 3070 but is there a noticeable difference between those 2?

And if u choose one or another, please tell me how many cobs would be ideal for a space 3x3.

Thank you

OK, so ive researched this further. I have 3 options:
  1. 8 Cree CXB3070 CRI 80 3500k
  2. 8 Cree CXB3590 CRI 80 3500K
  3. 8 Cree CXB3590 CRI 90 3500k (EDIT ok they dont have 3500k they have 3000k and 5000k so i was thinking of a combination of 3000k and 5000k like 2 of 5000k and 6 of 3000k of CRI 90 )
You have a picture with a drawing of an ideal spread:) i calculated and i will start with 8 cobs for a 3 x 3 or 1meter x 1meter. if i will take a 4x4 ill get 4 more cobs as in second illustration. What i am interested is the difference in efficiency between those 3cobs. Price between 1 and 2 are around 20% i mean, if there is not a big difference between them then its not worth it. I saw on another thread, 2 crops one with 3590 CRI 80 and 3590 CRI 90 and the CRI80 outperformed in grams the first one. The CRI90 one vegged better, and finished 5 days early that is 3% faster in a 65 day cicle:) so no that important. Please wise man out there enlighten me please :

That was actually perfect. that means that

8pcs of Original Citizen CLU048 1212 3500K 80CRI cob
8pcs of thermal tape
8pcs of Ideal holder 50-2204CT
8pcs of Ideal 50-2100AN
8pcs of KingBrite Reflector KB-D82-90RF
8pcs of Pre-drilled Passive heatsink Φ133*H70mm(for 55-65W)
10pcs of Wago quick connectors
2pcs of Original MW driver HLG-185H-C1400B
2pcs of TOCOS (soldered) 100K linear potentiometer
Cables + Screws

this should do the trick? I hope i have everything right. Can someone confirm this will work>?
I actually like more cobs because u can distribute the light beter than 4 vero or even 6 cxm22

Looks good! But I would use the CXM22 because of the better performance and price! And you can get all what you need from the same source(chips + different holders and drivers). Top bin CXB3590 is currently only average efficient and not worth the extra costs.

The 1212s are ok for low budget but if you have a few extra $$ then go for the cxm22 on 2 x hlg-185-48 drivers. Also kingbright isnt cheap when you add the p&p and paypal fees and taxes and dhl admin fee.

Theres suppliers on that list too, get some quotes before you buy.
