Normal blackstar vs chrome - opinions from those with experience?

Happy blackstar grower... thinking i'm gonna need to buy a few more soon -- curious whether any of you who've used the chrome now think it's worth it to go with the chrome over the normal blackstars. i'm thinking i'm probably gonna end up going with the regular ones because they've worked well with my grow but if it's worth it...

I'll be keeping the led grow supply blueish 600 watt though, led is great for veg!

this thread isn't about me looking for some to buy. i am just looking for people's experiences who've used both whether chrome is worth the extra $$

Hi. I can't help you with the comparison since I never owned the older Blackstar. But I just completed my first flowering with the Chrome (6 spots) 158 real watts and I am very happy with my results. cheers.

90pcs 3W LEDs only offers 158 real watts....Amazing.

How many plants was it over? Canopy height? Veg time? Avg Yield/Plant? Just thinking about getting the 6 spot or 2x 240 watt older model. At that wattage, that's .58 the driving capacity, which means these things should last pretty long. If they upgraded fans AND heat sinks, these things should be pretty juiced.

Bump!! Anyone have experience running both models?

90 3 watt LEDs @ 158 sounds right to me, chips are never ran at full wattage...
