Not allowed to ask about LEDs

Hey my thread just got shut down because I asked about a LED somewhere else on the website so a staff member rudely stopped my thread.

http://rollitup.org/t/next-lighting-led.856244/#post-11202998

I started a new thread about the LED in the LED forums because when I first posted I didn't know there was a LED section. I am new to the website, and growing in general, so I apologize for asking a question in 2 places. This forum is not about how to ask about LEDs but to ask how does one move a thread to a different place on the website since the Staff will not let repeat posts, which blows my mind since I posted that other post about a week ago with very little help or answers.

Haha maybe they thought u were trying to advertise or something. Just going by that link u gave us it did seem pretty rude of them to close it. But anyway, I don't see a price on that light. How much was it? Says the led's are American made. I thought they were mostly made over seas. I'm not as well versed in led as the others here but it says full spectrum which is nice. I didn't see how many watts it is, says equivalent to 1000w HPS. But they all say that. Get us a price and we can say if it's worth it

The spec sheet and ad does not mention a thing about what emitters are used, except that it is run at "very high current" and the SPD looks warm white. Unfortunately most white LEDs in the world are very poor, especially when run at very high current. The good ones are somewhat rare and expensive. So we have no reason to assume there is a good one inside this machine. Therefore I accuse it of being 15-18% efficient along with a thoudans others that use generic emitters, and guilty until proven innocent. Sorry for the negative response, maybe they will prove us wrong.

There are a few commercial lamps that are at least 30% efficient and use well known emitters, Area 51, Apache Tech, Onyx Grow and Optic Lighting. They probably cost the same or less than this mystery light/PAR W and will serve you much better.
