Do you want your buds to be squished together so that mold and fungus can culture in the dark crevese of your curing jar, or maybe between the folds in your plastic bags? After drying buds normally arent completly dry, thats what curing is for aside from getting rid of stuff like chlorophyll. It wicks the moisture out from the center of the buds. But If I am wrong please someone, tell me. I dont want to be misinforming anyone. Sorry if I came of rude.

It'd just be better to get smaller jars.

If nothing else, I'd recommend removing the bags. Only reason it may be bad is if there's a huge space of air and it over-dries the buds.... but still I'd take the baggie out.

So what size jar ya using? How filled is it?

It's not the point that you pack buds into a jar, the point is that you seal it from outside air. If you pack them in, then there is less air in there. The more air in there, the longer you must wait between air changes.

The concept is to equalize the humidity in the space. That will dry the wet part of the buds, and "wet" the dry parts of the buds, so you equalize the moisture in the buds. Once this has happened, you open the jar and change the air.
