number of plants

Four 3 inch netpots and a 250+ grow light and you should be good, try 3 or 2 3 inch net pots if you wana give your trees more space and possibly a higher yield growing jusdt 2 big plants. This is my opinion by the way, but I have been growing with these rubbermaid tubs for a while and i switched to 5 inch netpot with a 5 gallon buckets recently so I can grow single big trees. We will see how this goes. Good luck!

If you prune SoG style, removing all branching from the lower 1/3 of the plant, you can conceivably do as many as 4 per sq ft. SoG plants eliminate the small, fluffy popcorn buds produced on lower branches, instead producing the big nugs on the top cola and the golfballs just below, attached to the mainstem.

Sea of Green ops also keep plants short by flowering clones immediately after they have set root- no veg time between rooting and flowering. Short plants are the indoor growers' friend as even the mighty 1000HPS can only penetrate foliage so deeply.

i was told by someone not to prune at all in the sog method, what would be the disadvantegs of not pruning at all

Someone didn't know WTF they were talking about.

You'd get bushy plants that would crowd one another and a lot of poorly producing lower branches. Those branches would restrict air circ around the plant, inviting mould & mildew.
