Nutrient Question

Ok..I moved my plants from fluoros to MH two days passed, and watered them with the first "nutrient" water....mixed at 25%, vegg nutes...now my new leaves are a little light in color, making me think I am low on nutes...but I cannot water for a while, as the soil is at good saturation. Any suggestion on how to introduce nutrients without watering.....I am at a loss. Adivce appreciated.

Anyone?? Is foliar feeding an option?? I know that using grow stix is not recommended. I checked the lighting and they are not getting heat stress.....it is most certainly nute deficit.....so any advice?

I would not fertilize them a gain. They need a little time to work. Your light could be too close. The heat maynot be a problem its the intensity of the light. What ferts did ya use? How long ago?

Ok......I will not fert them again. The light (400w MH) is 9" above the top of the tallest plants. The ferts are an off brand organic....Essential Blend...all I could find at the little nursery I stopped at......24/10/16 balance.....I watered with the ferts two days ago. I actually just looked in on the girls for the first time since this AM, and the leaves are much darker on one and somewhat darker on the other, and both are open out to the light very well. So...maybe it will stabilize itself (fingers crossed).

Your light is too close. It maynot show a problem now but it will. Ya also want to get your plants at all one height so the light can work on the plants evenly. All the branch tips should be the same height eventialy. Organic ferts are good you are less apt to over do it.

Thank you. I honestly thought that first...heat stress, but it felt fine to my hand....not even warm. Of course...they have lived 3 weeks with horrible light....I am sure the MH is a shock. Optimally how far away in approx. inches?? Obviously the hand rule is not working for me. I am going to raise the plant in the smaller pot up on some white foam blocks I have to even out the tops, so mad props for that advice dirty.
One more query.....it seems that I can just barely get all three pots under the reflector to where they are all getting equal exposure to the bulb. Is it okay of the pots are spread out a little, where some are not as directly under the light as others?? It seems I should be able to get more than three plants comfortable under a 400 wh MH. Anyway...no longer a nute issue....but a light issue. Light is everything, methinks. Well...not everything....but my little girls sure respond to it. Anyway...thanks.

Once ya raise the light up ya will have a lot of room. 18 to 20 inches could be good. Ya want to experiment with it.

Thanks again dirty...I was actually just being lazy...I went to the docs I have saved and found all the light question answers, and yes....DEFINITE signs of heat stress on new leaves that grew today. I have the light at 19" right now, and the distribution of light is much better. I raised the smaller pot up on a foam brick, and the tops are veritibly even. I will add some light nutes to sprayer and mist leaves....probably a drip of worm castings as well. Thanks to everyone for helping a lazy stoner out! Peas!
