Odd Smelling Bud?

So one of my friends have grown this plant that smells really odd. We have checked it over and there is nothing wrong and it's clean but it smells really sour. It reminds me off a coffee with a nutty smell to it. It's really strange and I was wondering if I could get any advice on it?

my advice is it either smells sickly nice and you know it deep down inside or its kind of putrid and unpleasant smelling in which case you should have added a pic for me to tell you whats up...

Yeah we got it nailed, it's a very strong smelling batch and because of the quantity it was over powering. But smoking it today was brilliant, really mellowing and no cotton mouth!
