odour control help?????

ok so im building my own stealth micro grow from some old bedroom cupboards and was looking at a rhino pro filter (4") and was wondering are these filters suitable for external mounting so it would 'blow' rather than 'suck?, so i can save some upwards space the grow area is 120cm - h 100cm - w 50cm - d, and i will be flowering under a 400w mh with a sunmaster 4k warm deluxe bulb (when i get it) and this will be in a DIY cool wing (when i build it, i know its card in pic but der templates for sum metal when i get that too) Any one know about canfilters? der cheaper but cant find any reviews on them. or should i stick with the rhino filter? how would this fare with 2 WOS afghan kush plants smell?

the main thing with a can filter is the inline fan you buy,but for that small of a space i would think an inline duct booster fan and a home made carbon filter would be more than enough.

Yeah it seems like you are overengineering. Just throw some activated carbon (buy int he fishtank section) into some cheese cloth and call it good. Cheap, easy, and very effective. I have 2 plants that take up about 3x2x5-6 ft and 4 in veg and no smell.

i forgot to mention the fan i have its a centrifugal fan from an old boiler i cant find the data sheet on net for it all its says is its 32w but iv tryed it and it will defo do job.

i was thinking of building my own filter but im not sure exacly what it is im doing or what i need to buy and a 4" can-filter off ebay is only 30 quid delivered. how much would a diy filter work at cost wise? i wouldnt be to bothered to pay a bit more for the peace of mind id get knowing it was a contraption id created myself

I use a bathroom exhaust fan. There really is no reason to buy something.

thanks for the links sunnydaze that looks like idiot proof, low cost construction i bought a shower fan but it was a bit too loud for my liking and there was no way of controling the speed. the fan i got now is better and quieter think im gona give the diy approach a try before i buy one. im guessing your american, do seed banks over there ship to europe? i want some chemdawg seeds but no one has or sells then over here

doesn't matter what way the air passes through it'll get scrubbed. prob put your fan under more pressure i would think.
i managed to squeeze mine in, i flower earlyer too,have them under 24/0 , keeps them short
