over watered and light too close?

I have got a serious problem on my hands. I bought some clones (big bud x trainwreck) and transplanted them on the same day. Most of them are about 8-8.5 inches tall and were fine when I got them except for some small pin dot yellow spots on the mid and upper leaves. When I transplanted them I left the soil that they had already root bound on and just buried them to about the height of where they were buried before. I then watered them and they were fine. however, I then watered them 2 days later and I must have over waterd them because about 5 hours later they were all extremely droopy. next day I woke up they looked much improved so I lowered the light to about 13inches from plant tops to help dry the soil. But then at night two days after I over watered them they some how got extremely droopy again. they get light from 6am to 12 am (18 hours). and it seems like for some reason around 8 pm they start to droop. are they still drooping and losing color because of previous over watering? or is my light to close now? my hand does not get burned by light when I place it over them, but i herd somewhere that if plants get very strong light for an extended period throughout the day they might droop towards end of day. I use a 400 watts HPS ge bulb(cheap). is it light or overwater or both? anyone had similar issue?

its probably nutrient..... related not light distance
I agree.

A rootbound plant has used up all the nutes in the soil. When you transplant you need to water it in with nutes and a couple light feedings after that, depending on the new container size and whether or not you broke up the root ball.
