oxy vs hydro

I got some of each over the weekend and got curious about the differences, mostly when I was thinking about the sutleties of different benzos. And then wondered about these two old classics.

how much stronger really is one over the other?

can you describe the differences? It would be interesting to get other perspectives.

I had to take hydro when my wisdom teeth were removed and it didn't do shit for me and with all the talk about oxy I'm sure oxy is much more powerful. Crap, hydro even has "water" in it's name which makes me just think it's a watered down version of oxy.

By the way, I'm back bitches!

edit: noticed the new theme of the site, not sure how I like it yet. Seems avatars aren't animated anymore and that's disappointing.

Welcome back. I wasn't sure about the new theme either, but I like it more now.

For me, hydro is a bit stronger in effects, and the duration is longer. But it's been so long since I've had either one that I can't remember the subtle differences anymore. All I remember is preferring hydrocodone over oxy, while most other people were the other way around.

when i took pills it was easy to decide..chew up 15 hydros or snort an 80mg oc or 3..the obvious decision being oc...

For me I find oxy hits faster orally but wears off faster as well. It has a more stimulating effect as well. In instant release oral formulations I actually prefer hydro as I'm not in pain 2 hours later looking at my watch waiting to be able to take the next dose. Hydro has a more sedating feeling.

Im actually the same way gram to gram hydro works alot better for myself, It's also alot eazer to optain hydro becouse of the CS classifaction

The only thing oxy has over hydro is the abillity to IV

I like to take 10 mg of Oxy before a hard day of labor. I like the Hydros while smoking weed and being less active. I build a fast tolerance for hydros so I typically just take them as they are prescribed. I get some pretty intense headaches sometimes when I take either, so they don't hold much recreational value for me anymore. I used to get 80mg Oxycontin and cut them down into 1/4's, I seem to get a longer smoother ride with extended release. I started losing a lot of sleep on those tho. I could take a 1/4 and stay up all night. Tobacco seems to make all the Opioids stronger for me, sometimes getting the spins. At the end of the day, I'd rather snort a Dilly.

I used to slam H, while I never smoked tobacco , allmost all the H fiends i know/knew do . Smoking a ciggarette after a shot was like a religous experiance to them. Some would even be sick and wait untill they had a ciggarete to do a shot so they could do them together ..........

Keep the tobacco and i will take a soma + opiate

I like hydro when I take 15mg, I like oxy when I take 10mg. I never really take it, but I can say it's weird telling the difference between the two. It's been awhile since I've even taken an opiate.
I think the best course of action is to break my leg. That'd be nice.

Opiates make me go on cartoon binges. Or a mega productive/social worker.
Get the sweats, but I like the sweats.
And I don't like oxy as much because it can make me irritable and more itchy than hydro.
If I take 20mg of oxy, I become a sweaty, itchy, pissy mess kind of like when I overdo the dope.

hydro amps me up like crazy. I get wild energy on opiates. That's why I don't mess with them too much. I like them a lot
