Pc grow box problem with Arctic f12 pc fan

Hey I'm setting up a pc grow and want to get my ventilation right first.

I bought a Arctic fan f12 and it came with the cables

Yellow
Black
Blue
Green

I done a little digging and found that yellow is positive and black negative.
I connected my dc power supply to this and I swear the fan is running low speed, surely it has more in it. It's really weak and hope that that's not all it has got.

This is my first pc setup and first time messing with pc fans.

Red OR yellow(whichever is 12v) + black = full speed. 70cfm isnt much. You can only modulate(lower) fan speed with a pulse.

Look at the back of fan should have sticker showing it ratings and operating voltage. Second what is the output on you ac/dc converter? Should be on sticker or actually made in the molding

Nice one guys maybe it's just not that strong then, there is no red on the fan just the colours above. Fan only works yellow to black.
Its not. I have a whole collection of 3-wire and 4-wire fans. The fan you have is a 4 wire pwm type. Meaning, there is only 1 way to hook it up to get power, the other two wires (tach out & pwm in) are only needed to slow the fan down and relay the speed back to the motherboard or other fans. You need a 12v .6a power supply for this which im pretty sure is very uncommon, most likely you already have a 1/5/6/10 a supply which is more then enough. At this point the only way to get a higher speed would be a 15v adapter or another fan, careful though some fans like antec dont like 14v+ and some fans like delta can take 19v.
