PC Grow Box tips

Hello everyone. Im making this thread for those who want to make a pc grow box. When I was making mine I had a little trouble finding info on it so I thought I would make this post for anyone else in need.

Basically just take all the hardware out your pc.

Wire up some computer fans to an ac adapter buy connecting the red and black wires to the red and black wires on the ac adapt. Also get an AC adapter that is the same voltage as your fan. Both of mine are 12v ( if there are no colors just try touching both wires together )

Next attach the fans to the side of the computer where they can blow air through the computer. one blowing in one blowing out.

Then you need to go to your local home depot or lowes and get some reflective maylon or basically anything that has a high light reflection and its not too expensive. 11 dollars for a giant roll.

cut and wrap your walls with the reflective mylar cut out spots for your fans and leave one place where you can link a power cord cable out of the computer to the outlet to power your Grow PC

Glue on a power strip of your choice to the side of the PC over the mylar
(my pics are only duct taped on gotta go get some glue tomorrow)

Next you will need outlet adaptars that plug straight into the power strip and then also screw in a lightbulb too them. I got mine at Ace Hardware for 2.49 a peice and i was not able to find them at my local Walgreens or Target.

also you can add a homemade carbon scrubber if you are worried about the smell but i didnt yet and i am not planning on it until it starts to stank.

Thats about it plug everything in and your ready to grow.

Im sure there are other ways people have done/do this but this is how i did it if you have any suggestions for me or anyone else looking at this thread please post em.

If you want a really stealth operation you should learn how to make a light trap. they are super cake and can be built for like 15 bills with materials from any place that sells foam board.

Yeah your right it is $11.52 for roll but on another note heres a pretty nice #1skunk still in veg under a 1000w hps

great idea, always good to teach people how to rig up a pc grow box. fun simple and easy to build. here are a few pics of my box hopefully it will help someone out.

125w daylight cfl.
4 80mm intake fans on sides
1 120mm exhaust fan above light
lined in panda film.

i was thinking about making one myself but i wasnt sure if it is literally poissble to grow in one since it is so small. i was wondering if you would use this box from grow to finish or if you would use it from seeds to veg. state or what?

start to finish with lots of training unless you have a very short strain.

Nope thats my buddys skunk but I just got my seeds today. it will be my first grow some automatic blueberry and LSD fem from http://www.worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com/. The automatic blueberry i will be putting in the PC most likely and the LSD will be in another box.

For those planning on making a PC box I would reallllly think about getting an auto flower strain. There seems to be alot of good strains out there now, most finishing within 10 weeks but most importantly it will fit in your pc. Like i said i got Lowlife Automatic Blueberry but from what ive read both Joint Doctor and Lowlife have good autoflower strains. Ive herd not the biggest yeild but ive herd upto 40 g's which isnt bad for a 12 inch plant.

Can't wait to plant em just gotta run by my local hydro store to get the finishing supplies and a log should be up soon and i will post it here. It should be helpful for people trying to grow stealth.

awesome man, im excited to watch auto blueberry grown out. be careful though, autos are already a little nute sensative and blueberry is very nute sensative so watch out for that. good luck bro!

I just joined and, saw your posts? hows it going ben? I hve a pc box, 4CFL 100w lights, intake and exhust fanf, not sure what size but the exhuast is bigger. I am having a problem after i germinate my seeds in the dark kindergarden style with no lights on. After I plant them they are not sprotting.many people have told me to turn the lights on, which i did.

I have got nothing to sprout. Im on an 18/6 cycle with timers.

be sure to keep the soil moist with something covering it to catch the evaporating water, thus creating a humid environment, ideal for sprouting

should i keep watering or wait till it sprouts?

yeah sorry its been so long just dont have a camera to post pictures at the moment but the orginal 2 seeds didnt make it to the end but i planted the other 3 auto blueberrys 2 made it. Also a friend brought me back a seed from jamaica that i planted and it exploded into growth. Along with 2 clones one Blueberry and one Grape ape. the blueberry is really starting to stink of that nice blueberry smell and starting to get covered resin. Ill post pics later & bout to flower the blueberry this or next week.
i would rather not flower inside my house so i was wondering if this would work...
could i move the plants lights slowly down to 12/12 for 2 or 3 weeks then move the pot outside, will it continue to flower? and if so will it stunt the plant

soak your seeds in a cup of water (if your using tap water let it sit at room temp for 24-48 hours before you put your seeds in) leave the cup in a warm dark place check back after 24 hours stir the water with your clean finger and the seeds should sink to the bottom. if they dont thats okay just leave them a little longer and take the seeds out when you see a small crack in them and then put them in a wet paper towel in a warm dark place again until the tap root comes out when you see this put it in your medium facing down and throw it under your 18/6 or 20/4 cycle.

this is how i do it but there probably are plenty of other good methods too
