Plant massacre-- please help!!

Hi,
So I left these three plants in the care of someone else for the past 2 weeks. The first two pics are what they looked like at day 39 of veg, just before I left. The last pics are the mess I came home to. I cried. I've been told they were watered as per my directions every 3-4 days. The temps were ok apparently. They have shrivelled, there has been NO new growth (I LSTed them slightly because they had been growing so well before.) I had planned to clone the lower branches this week and put them in flower. Now I find I'm just trying to save them. It's about day 45 or so now... PLEASE ADVISE!!! The soil is dry in the first inch or two right now and I seem to be able to see broken/loose roots mixed into that top few inches (not attached to anything.) There were mild nutes in the water I left behind to be used. Sigh... HELP--- I neeeeeeeed this harvest.
This is the last shit I need having just returned.

I don't think they fed them nutes and they overwatered them, that a big nute definciency.

Check the soil, in case they Under-watered them; if it's dry give em a light nute feeding.

Get some Superthrive and give them some in a week or so with light nutes.

If the soil is wet, let them dry out and start with light nutes and build up gradually to full strength. Add a drop or two of supertrive every other week or so.

They won't be 100 percent, but you can probably get the new growth sorted and that'll do.

Is it new soil or have you been adding nutrients?

Pinksensa, do you think it's nute burn? the new growth is fine, all the lower leaves are the ones that are hurtin. :(

I dont think they were watered at all...and they started sucking energy and life from itself from the bottom up...ie the yellowing not nute burn I know they look crispy and dry but i think the babies got no love and no water at all

The helper is adamant that he watered them, but I don't believe it either. Life was super chaotic while I was away and I am SURE it was the last thing on his mind. Plus he looked guilty. GRRRRrrrrr I had been soooo careful to get them good before I left. I haven't done anything yet-- waiting to hear what you folks thought.

lets start with a good healthy drink of water...and mist the fuck out of them as much as you can w/pure water...then nutes in a day or so then you can start to trim back the uglies just be gentle....when i dont water my household plants thats what they look like

Really looks like a ph issue to me. If you leave your water supply sitting for a few days I've noticed, at least in my case, that the ph will change and will lead to nutrient lockout. Try to get to your local hydro store and pick up a ph reader (or a cheaper option there is liquid ph tester for 8 bucks) and get some ph up/down solution also.

Just my two cents but if you forget(they forgot) to water a plant and let it wilt badly and go oh shit then water it, that can happen it sucks everything from the fan leaves to keep the rest of the plant going....I've done it. Just my guess but everything looks like it will be ok to me.
